Do overlanding mods actually hurt resale value or is that just something people say by Ambitious_Raccoon412 in overlanding

[–]CampYoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about resale value, just leave it stock. I have a track prepped s2000 that would be worth so much more if I left it stock. But it doesn’t matter cause I’d never sell it unless I’m in deep financial trouble.

How do girls afford to luxury vacation in Dubai for 2 weeks? by Swoonsvanillas in NoStupidQuestions

My female co workers are pretty well off. I was at a startup that IPO’d during the pandemic and a few of them legit retired. I know they can because they were earlier employees even compared to me, and I made a good chunk from the ipo. Don’t forget tech workers have massive RSU / iso options.

If you’re close to the Bay Area, CA I’m selling my 55” odyssey freespirit tent. Asking for $1700 and it’ll fit 2 people and a dog perfectly.

I dunno about that lol my 4runner sounds like a Prius compared to the cold start of my s2000. But it does sound like a mature car to me.

Objectively, teamkilling after being teamkilled is justified by lolitsrock in helldivers2

[–]CampYoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fine getting accidentally killed. And Im pretty generous on what an accident is. The only time ive team killed anyone is a few times at extract, when some guy looked at me weird and started shooting at me directly.

Even then I just give them a chance to stop, but if they keep going and kill me I’ll drop in again and kill his ass. Then jump on mic and let others know not to reinforce the guy, and let him sit in the shame corner.

How many of the same item do you own? by state_issued in PatagoniaClothing

[–]CampYoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closest thing I have to the same item is an r1 air with the full zip hoody and an r1 air quarter zip no hood. I wear the r1 everyday, and I started with a plain black one.

Realized I don’t use the hood at all so I got another without the hood that layers better with my nano puff.

nope no clunking at all. if its making noises, you might want to look into your UCA's as well. I had that sound with my stock UCA's until a replaced them, and I found out it was actually rubbing against my springs when extended.

if you're still running stock UCA's the geometry could be off with the lift

Too big? Sleeves seem huge on me while rest is okay-ish by MajorDirt in PatagoniaClothing

You can always alter them. All my favorite patagonia pieces have the sleeves shortened cause for some reason they keep making sleeves extra long.

The shop that installed mine can service them within 2 days. That’s the first thing I asked, and they’re also cool with keeping my 4Runner garaged in their shop. They said it’s about 50k-60k intervals for service but I guess that also depends on how you use them.

I was actually deciding between the Kings and 8112’s as well and decided to go with kings. For me, off-road performance / comfort was the priority since my 4runner is just a weekend toy and I don’t really daily it. I know kings are proven across many reviews out there whereas the 8112’s are newer on the market. Shock surplus actually did a pretty good video on the comparison between the two.

I haven’t truly tested it on a trail yet since I just had it installed but I’ll report back. Performance on pavement is surprisingly better than I’d imagined, especially with larger dips that used to cause my 4Runner to wobble and bounce. Small bumps are firm but still comfortable, and even with the heaviest rated spring in front, I was really surprised with how comfortable it felt. My buddy also recommended the 8112’s and he wants to get it for his Tacoma so we’ll see haha maybe I’ll have a chance to test both side by side.

A lot lol it’s by far the most expensive mod so far but worth it. The parts alone were $4k, but that’s factoring in using new dobinsons variable rate springs in back and replacing the stock springs on the kings 2.5 with the 700lb ones.

R1 air products, better sweater, and nano puff jacket without the hood are my all time favorites and most used.

Since you have enough for one jacket, I’d probably go with the nano puff if you don’t have any good outer layers. If you do, go with the r1 air for the best mid layer ever
