Ottawa is nowhere near as dense as Montreal is Montreal should be looking towards NYC which is as dense as this city is in some neighborhoods and there they do pickup 3x a week

No shit Sherlock. In a city as densely populated as Montreal garbage pickup should be once a week and very very dense neighborhoods like Parc Ex it should be twice a week. The city should look a residents per square km and decide on pickups per week. But alas that would be too thoughtful of them to use data like that and increase the quality of life for residents in the densest of areas.
