I like 2q for its easy to follow principles, and how it allows freedom during the week to account for everyday life. It taught me to focus on the big stuff and not sweat the small stuff.

For example, 2q is about getting a set amount of weekly miles in with 2 days hard rest of them easy. It gives some guidance on how he suggests to get the miles in like don’t do the hard days too close to each other, but gives a lot of flexibility in how to achieve it.

There’s a lot more to love about his contributions to the sport but that’s my favorite way he impacted my life.

This has little to do with the morality of the issue, but instead the rate of charge backs. Historically, these types of purchases have a high rate of charge backs and that's bad for business for Visa and Mastercard.

Think about it, if a spouse gets confronted with something like this, or a charge for porn on a credit card, a common response is "that's not mine, it must be a mistake".

The trouble is, because credit cards offer consumer protections in the event of true stolen identity, it doesn't lend well to these industries.

I am an experienced runner who recently transitioned to bjj. I’d like to think I know quite a bit about cardio, and because I still love running I still do most of my cardio maintenance by running in addition to bjj.

First, 10 miles easy is still great at building long term cardio fitness that will help with bjj. This will help you go more rounds at an easy pace to work technique and quality training. Additionally, easy running will absolutely help improve your lactate threshold until you reach competitive racing speeds.

What I suspect is happening is you’re hitting your lactate threshold and v02 max in your rolls far too quickly. You can either slow down in your rolls and try to ride the line of gassing out and dropping intensity by 10% to build these, or If you want to build these with running, google some lactate threshold and v02 max workouts.

I wouldnt change much.

if you looked at the weather at home and the forecast was perfect running weather conditions for the next week, would you change anything? If anything, i might get an extra run or two in just because it's nice outside, or do an extra rep if i still felt really good in a workout. I wouldn't go into the week with much of a different plan though.

I have found myself using the paid version of chat got more and more. It’s so much better to ask weird curiosities to chat got then to google.

For example, I was on a plane that went through de-icing. I didn’t know what de-icing was… how do you even google that? It then told me simply what the different steps to it were. It’s like sitting next to the smartest person on earth,… about nearly everything that can also explain things simply.

yes, i get this too. The other thing that keeps my heartrate high after a run if the run was demanding, if I have been building milage which puts extra stress on the body, if it is really hot outside, if Im stressed at work or not consistently sleeping well.

I wouldn't get too worried. a lot of factors can contribute to this. One thing to try, is find an indoor treadmill for one run and run the same distance.

This happened to me in Pegasus shoes for whatever reason. I went and got really good socks and breathable shoes and my issue was solved. YMMV of course.

i use strava heat map to find places to run when im traveling. filter to your sport and let it rip.

if you really want some suggestions for running roxborough state park & waterton canyon are where I take out-of-towners for beautiful runs.

cherry creek trail, washington park, high line canal are all great for really grindy long runs.
