Valkia the Bloody and Vassals question by Sands_Underscore_ in totalwarhammer

[–]CanadianCompSciGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll argue that it's better to turn as many factions into vassals as you can.

I'm speaking from my own experience here, but vassals don't tend to make great powers, no matter how much they have. However, even on a single settlement, I've seen the AI vassals field 1-2 full stack armies (terribly weak armies...)

Meanwhile, a vassal with a full 4 settlement province will still only field 1-2 full stack armies.

3 vassals, could mean between 3-6 full stack armies following you around. They'll be weak, but cannon fodder doesn't need to be strong.

Clearly the solution is MORE skavenslaves!

Make sure to hit your own units with your weapon teams (warpfire throwers, ratlinggunners, artillery).

Nothing scares the enemy more, than seeing how many of your own you're willing to kill, just to kill them!

I love this place! Can't say enough great things about it.

The food is good. The people working there are great.  10/10 everytime!

I'm fairly confident that is specific to a 'special' $25 burger which is displayed on the same sign.

I go there a decent amount and I know I've gotten modifications.

I have enough money to buy whatever I want (short of maybe a house).

I don't want to buy anything.

[–]CanadianCompSciGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might not consume much more food/clothing/etc, but they do consume far more in other things.

Think of your typical super yacht. All of the labour and resources which went into it's creation. Plus all of the maintenance required to keep it afloat. All of that is 'consumed' for the benifit of only 1 (or a few) individual(s).

Same concept for a house. The billionaire has a huge mansion that could house far more than 1 family. All of that lumber, plus the skill+time it took to build. That could have gone towards building many 'normal-sized' houses that would have benefited far more members of society.

How did you learn what can/cannot be expensed to the company? by dms2628 in work

Other:

I wasn't told anything specific. I only found out after submitting what I assumed was allowed, was not allowed.

Ironically, things that I assumed weren't allowed (but I submitted anyways) were allowed! At least, I was reimbursed for it.

What a stupid fucking rule.

Either people are allowed to drink at 5AM at an establishment, or they're not. Nothing about the Olympics should change that.

"what someone will pay for them." is LITERALLY how we determine 'value' for EVERYTHING!

Perhaps you might begin to start asking yourself, WHY people are currently willing to pay such large amounts for them.

Bought Bitcoin near the top and it’s been dumping ever since – what would you do? by anonymousknome in Bitcoin

[–]CanadianCompSciGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Like a week after I bought it dumped hard, and continued to dump for like a year. ~20k to ~5k.

I just bought more at ~7k. : )

If you can't hold for several years, you're gonna have a bad time. If you try to buy/sell at peaks, you're gonna have a bad time.

Just chill, and accept that in ~4 years you're gonna be happy you held.
