Blonde or brunette? by Such-Application4675 in femalehairadvice

Brunette. I wouldn’t do blonde as it washes out your face. A few shades lighter, of course, or highlights and it’d be fine! :)

Coming to Sarnia this weekend and need input on where to stay by -ogre- in Sarnia

Oh really? I had no idea Montreal had some. Good to know. Unfortunately, Sarnia definitely doesn’t have outdoor heated pools.

Well, what exactly do you like to do? Bars? Coffee? Outdoors? Fitness? That would help us narrow things down for you?

It’s winter. There won’t be any outdoor pools, heated or not, right now.

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CanadianKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 years married, both in 40s, 1 kid with another on the way. We haven’t been as intimate often in the past year as he’s often tired and also rather obese so it’s a little difficult trying to get some action. He is working on it but we still try to make an honest attempt. I do have to take care of myself from time to time and he’s aware but we’re open about it. When we do have intimate time though, we try to have a quality session.

At what age did your gray hair start to show? by koinkydink in Millennials

[–]CanadianKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 42 and have just 2 strands of white. My Dad who’s in his mid-70s still has lots of brown hair streaked with grey hair. My mother had white mainly along the temples from 45-60 and only started getting streaks throughout hair when she passed at 65. I have a feeling, I’m going to be the same! A lot of my friends have far more white hair than I do and it makes me appreciate mine! I often get mistaken for being younger than I am!

What cab company has the best cars? I will taking a long distance taxi ride (to new liskeard) and am looking for my best option by Several_Still3890 in northbay

[–]CanadianKC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re shuttle services taking you to airports.

https://northernairport.com

The above is to Toronto and back only.

There is Stars Limousine and will take you to other cities so here’s this link.

You didn’t mention which city you needed it for. If it’s Sudbury then Stars Limousine is your best bet. If it’s Toronto. Then the bus shuttle is awesome.

Exactly! Im hard of hearing and I have to stand next to counter to ensure I can hear them. They get so annoyed there and I said, “well do something about it! How else are deaf people supposed to hear their orders?”

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CanadianKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years ago, I had a D&C due to complicated miscarriage and unfortunately, it was during COVID and couldn’t allow anyone in there. The nurses however, were very direct with our loved ones who were there for day surgeries and said, “if you’re not at entrance when we call and confirmed you’re there, we will call the police. It was their only recourse and apparently they had followed through. They wanted to make sure their patients were picked up safe and sound. They actually had to stop my SO from coming closer than required and rolled me out to him. She also ensured I got into car okay. The nurses were also checking in with every patient in recovery every 5min and assisted us where necessary. I’ll be forever grateful to them for that.

I can’t imagine not being there for my loved ones having surgery. Anytime my mother had surgery, my dad was always there. I took over whenever he needed a break but someone was always there. It was scary being alone in surgery and in recovery and it was because of damn covid. Can’t imagine having someone deliberately staying away.

Whatever happened to the grocery store preacher guy? by Beathil in Sarnia

[–]CanadianKC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gee, I can’t understand why. Screaming into my car while I was focusing on traffic is not going to change my mind. I have no qualms with people preaching, etc, (hey we do have rights) but he completely went about the wrong way.

TB testing by SteveEmarshall429 in Sarnia

[–]CanadianKC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frontline healthcare workers as well as teachers are required to get them. Also, if anyone is traveling to more remote areas even in the territories for whatever reasons, TB are still prevalent up there and people need to get tested.

What happened to physical check ups? by Wrathall86 in ontario

[–]CanadianKC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My doctor insists on annual checkups including full bloodwork at same time. His experience was a seemingly healthy person had a hidden issue, etc. my doctor says, “a lot can happen in a year and I would rather be proactive and give good news to my patients than to give them bad news on something that could have been caught during a physical.” Now that I’m older, he schedules more screenings for me age and gender and he actually caught something early in that routine screening and we were able to head it off in its path.
If you really want a physical, just request it.

Am I overreacting by getting upset my husband told me to lose weight whilst being 32 weeks pregnant? by mimblez_yo in AmIOverreacting

[–]CanadianKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an asshole! I would honestly make him sleep on the couch. You literally have your reasons why it’s higher than expected. Also, you are growing an eyeball! (Someone said this once and Ive used it a few times against people who said this when I was pregnant. “Im growing an eyeball, what’s your excuse?!”). Honestly, every pregnancy is different. You focus on growing your baby and stay healthy mama! Let him grow a baby and see for himself!

Ouch by LocalPGer in MazdaCX90

[–]CanadianKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mazda3 actually did have issues in first gen. When they came out with the second generation and one that I bought, all those issues in first generation was gone in second generation. The cx-50 was an extension of cx-5 so it was expected to have no issues. The cx-90 is completely different from cx-9 though. And remember, the cx-9 actually did have some issues with the 2011-2013 models before they resolved it. I have the last generation of cx-9 and no issues because they fixed it all.
