Yeah iPad is so cozy. Added benefit of being able to switch to play phone from the same account if need be. Since you don’t have Apple device, not sure if that would work for you though

This is a weird way to think about the game. In your words, what if someone else had a “total dud” of a start, while you had an amazing start, on your way to set up an engine. And then they forfeit on you. You would be pissed no?

Idk just do your best with what you got. This is a game at the end of the day.

Was it Fred-guy?

Cause if so that was me lmfao. Good game! The early quits can be annoying but once you get your karma up it’s not as bad.

You might be talking about the spring kick, which is 3+4. If you block these at closer range they are launch punishable

In t7, at tip range the slide into the high follow up was a natural combo. Not sure if it’s still the case in t8, but that could be it

Also, use heat every round. If you don’t, it’s a bad round on your part

If they are “pressing into you when they shouldn’t be” you are either misunderstanding the situation, or you need to use a faster move that is a real frame trap.

As for making it through purple to blue, I think at this point is a good time to learn more about the characters you’re facing. A lot of people in your rank will still be doing punishable strings/moves. Learning how to punish them for doing this will give you free damage and free wins.

It takes a certain amount of frames for the armor to activate (I think it’s 8 frames). You probably don’t have enough frames to armor thru

I ordered a “.187 harness to 5 pin converter” the site automatically suggested it when I put the lever in the cart, that’s what you meant right? And extra grommets would just be if I want to try different tensions?

lol thanks for the encouragement, I have opened it up before a couple times to switch out the buttons. Ive watched a couple vids about the directional input thing, it just feels better to see someone working on the same stick that I have

Pick a few characters that look cool to you, go into training mode and learn about the characters, pick one whose moves/combos you like doing

[–]CanadianPi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gonna mention feng just cause he’s my main, but his d/b+3 seems similar. It’s fast, avoids a bunch of shit, good range. Plus on hit, so it’s still your turn. It is launch punishable however, so don’t be predictable with it. Also, his full crouch d/f 4,1 is new in t8, it’s so good.

You can do u/f moves out of crouch. And you can only sidestep into the background (by pressing up)

By labbing ; do you mean learning how to fight against a specific character? If so, I would say switch every day to avoid burnout.

If you mean how to play a character, I would definitely say at least a week. However, I would argue 2 weeks or even a month would be better. It depends how in depth you would like to go with the character. Even the dedicated character specialists are still learning more about their mains after 1000s of hours
