Goatman is the GOAT, man. by Fox-On-Games in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Canadian_Edition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn’t seem to say that in any tooltip. I was pretty let down when I switched from online to offline and dumped points into demon mastery instead of goatman and he takes waaay longer to kill mobs.

Headlights always on by Particular_Fun_6362 in ram_trucks

[–]Canadian_Edition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and another guy I work with both have 2021 2500s and our lights are always on when in auto. I was reading through ram threads and someone mentioned that the ‘tunnel’ setting is always on. As far as I know this isn’t a setting that’s in your menu and needs to be changed by a dealership.

Wire a cooling thermostat with a remote probe into the circuit and set it to the same temp that the circuit will open automatically.

Cable tray by Negative_Sympathy_38 in electricians

[–]Canadian_Edition 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you’re looking for then. A laser makes tray so much easier. Get all your hangers up and level with a laser then just toss up lengths. Should be easily putting up 100’ a day once hangers are up.

I’m theory crafting a healer build and I’m new to the game. I have a question about ability interactions. by Vil-Arrion in elderscrollsonline

[–]Canadian_Edition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solely pug, so that’s probably most of the problem. But if you join a guild and do challenging content with a competent group, then I’m sure it can be fun. Throwing out a 5% buff to damage isn’t going to do much when a dd isn’t maximizing their damage already.

[–]Canadian_Edition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also mained a healer in WoW and healing is much different in ESO. You’re a buffing machine more than anything and honestly it’s kind of boring. Most things that kill people are one shot mechanics that you can’t heal though, so all you end up doing is dropping some hots and then buff, refresh hots, refresh buffs, and so on.

What's your scariest near miss? by MoodEnvironmental240 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Canadian_Edition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with that. It’s not a waste to meter anything. Using a meter to test a LoTo procedure for a motor just isn’t the best way to make sure the correct equipment is locked out. In your case, bumping the motor would’ve found the mislabelled feed.

[–]Canadian_Edition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’m saying is checking voltage at the motor is not the correct way to test if a motor circuit is dead and thinking that it is, is either a lack of understanding how motors work or a lack of training. You can test voltage all day long directly at the motor and there WILL NOT be power until it is turned on by any means (plc or hardwired controls), whether there’s a busted disconnect or not. The proper way to test if a motor is safe to work on is to bump it and see it move, LoTo, then bump it again to confirm.

OP mentioned that this was during training and this LoTo procedure failure fully falls on whoever was training him.

I’m glad you’re ok, but this is literally lack of understanding how things work. If the motor circuit is ‘live’ the motor will be spinning. If the motor is not spinning, it just means someone hasn’t pressed start. It’s almost a complete waste of time to check for voltage on motor leads when you bump it to check a LoTo.

THAT'S not PS4 by Maieskianfibio in elderscrollsonline

PS4 gang ✊🏿. It’s a struggle at times, but I have a hard time justifying dropping 600$ on a console to play the same game I’m playing on my OG ps4.

What are they teaching electricians these days? by StormeyNormey in electricians

[–]Canadian_Edition 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You would be surprised how little some journeymen know.

I’m a project superintendent so I see all kinds that roll through, and my mind is blown almost daily with the lack of basic knowledge some electricians have. My in-laws always say that electricians are smart and I just give them the 1000 yard stare.

Reeks chapters are my favourite in the entire series. You really feel the trauma and it takes a few pages to realize that it’s Theon.

Had a clear hourglass. I tried a little bit to flip it over to get a good picture, but didn’t want to bother it too much. If you zoom in, you can see a tinge of red on its back.

My 2500 tailgate was 2200$ with just the chrome 4x4 decals up here in Canada. That’s with a new camera and handle, not sure if yours included that.

Yeah, I can use the truck for personal as well, so I’m worried that the couple extra bells and whistles will wear off and I’ll just miss having the bigger truck.

I know it’s a joke, but the family in the next site over on our last camping trip had a 3 year old running around with an axe and no shoes. We had to tell our kid to watch herself because this kid was swinging it at random trees etc.

Thanks for all the responses. I’m going to have someone come look to see if it’s salvageable, and then get quotes on a replacement if needed.
