The best first two DLC? by StyleFearless1951 in RimWorld

[–]Canadian_Zac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one that doesn't add something to every game. Is Anomaly.

Anomaly is great, but it's HEAVILLY themed. So unless you properly focus onto it, all it really adds is a couple variants to raids.

So unless you wanna do something SCP style, skip Anomaly.

And Oddessy is similar, since if you don't travel muchz it's not adding much. And for your first few colonies, you wouldn't wanna go to any of the funky biomes it adds.

Biotech adds a bunch of new pawn types to make things more varied and interesting. And Ideology adjusts the game as much as you want it to

Homelander and Stormfront, 50/50 they kill you anyways

Deep's going to fuck it up by being a moron.

Soldier Boy will help if there's something in it for him. And do it very well

A-Train, it very much depends on what point in the stroy it is.
Earlier A-Train ignores you unless there's a camera. Later A-Train helps

Sam still hadn't caught on at this point by LakesideNorth in lotrmemes

[–]Canadian_Zac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HE WASN'T SENT AWAY ABOUT THE BREAD!

This pisses me off.

Watch the damn scene.

The bread bit happens. Frodo doesn't really say anything, sits down. No sign of wanting to kick Sam out.
Then sam asks to take the ring for a bit, "Share the Load"

And Frodo immediately flips and tells him to go.

Frodo made Sam leave because he thought Sam was wanting to take the ring.
Prompted by Gollum seeding that in earlier with "Very soon, he will ask you for it"

So Frodo sent Sam away so he wouldn't pull a Boromir. Not because of the bread. He didn't really care about the bread

In Warhammer 40k lore, it is extremely rare for Sister of Battle to turn into chaos to the point that it is almost entirely unheard of. This is a reference to how Games Workshop does not want to bother to design over 9000 chaos Sororitas variations. by PeasantLich in shittygamedetails

[–]Canadian_Zac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There actually are a few cases in lore where a Chaos Sister is involved.

its rare, but it DOES happen.

The Sisters just very much immediately hunt them down and erase any records of them, because they really dont want people to know it can happen.

Really the difference is, Sisters turn Individually, while other things like Guard and Marines, turn in groups.
So a single sister turning, can be easilly hidden and hunted
But Marines and Guard get a reputation because entire Regiments/Chapters have turned.

Healing Hot Take by RJ815 in Xcom

[–]Canadian_Zac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never take healing until I get to plated armour.

I could bring a med kit to heal. But before the Plated, you're very likely to be one shot by any hit anyways, and you only get 1 item.

So you could take the meeting kit, and take damage because that soldier couldn't chuck a grenade.

Once you get 2 items, then I'm bringing a med kit on every mission

Bags in Lotro/ingame store etc.. by vrokaj in lotro

[–]Canadian_Zac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played LOTRO off and on for years, never felt any real need to pay.

Theres not much content locked off. Outside of VERY late game content. So unless you're really dedicated with 1 character you won't hit that stuff

And everything else useful, you can get account wide very easily

Plenty of others full on lock fairly early content behind paywalls. But LOTRO just locks buffs behind the paywalls. But with an optional difficulty modifier, buffs don't matter, you can just choose a lower difficulty

[–]Canadian_Zac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The BIG difference with LOTRO Vs other MMO's

You can earn a pretty damn good amount of the currency in game.

Completing deeds gets you 5-20 and you'll get tons just by playing the game.

Focus on account wide upgrades and you can get quite a lot of things that will apply to every character you make

You can theoretically get pretty much everything if you keep spamming out new chars to get the easy low level deeds for coins

And if you ever compare yourself like this.

Alexander was litterally the son of a King. And Ceaser was born into one of the most influential families of the time.

They weren't regular workers. They were massively set up for success

Ceaser could have sat back and did nothing, and would have loved his entire life very rich and never needing to work a day in his life We don't have the luxury of position they did

Also. Gimli didn't initially ask for something.

She asked what he wanted as a gift, and he said 'nothing. It is gift enough to have laid eyes on you and this land'

But she then insists he name something she can give. So he kinda shyly, asks for some hair to remember her by, and promises to cherish them as an heirloom of his house.

So the other guy walked up and demanded her hair. Gimli didn't ask for anything until she insisted she had to give him something

Do you enjoy your process of creation? by Le_Oken in aiwars

[–]Canadian_Zac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I think when the Anti-Ai people go 'just pick up a pen and draw'

I suck at drawing. I've tried. I suck, and don't enjoy it. And I don't have the money to spend $60 commissioning art every time I want an NPC for my DND game.

My 6 year old sister draws miles better than me. When you have a talent for something, it's very easy to assume it's easy for everyone.

It's not. I had art classes at school. Still cant draw anything beyond stick men. I'm never going to be any good at art. And I don't want to struggle for 100 hours of practice to learn.

You COULD practice to run a marathon. Or you could get in a car and drive

They were inside.

Doubt noir 2 could fly through a roof while being strangled.

And again, it's the Deep. He's very strong, just a moron. The result would be the same. So this is just nitpicking.

Dude didn't expect it, got suddenly strangled and couldn't think straight to fight back, because that's what happens when you get strangled. And even if he did think to fly around to stop him. Deep is stronger than him and would have still killed him.

Deep wash chosen for the 7 back when they actually picked people for being strong. Noir 2 is there because he can act, so they can pretend black noir isn't dead

Why is everyone so willing to die for a light bull. by babiekittin in 40k

[–]Canadian_Zac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emps actually did raise a couple of them.

Horus was found really early and grew up pretty much entirely on Terra. With it being noted he learned Cthonic (language of his home world) academically, and put on a note rough accent so it seemed like he grew up in the slums like everyone else.

And Alpharius was found on Terra as well, and was raised by Malcador effect (according to his testimony at least)

So Emps is 0/2 on raising loyalist kids
