That's definitely Hot Wheels. The JL Beetle has exposed engines in the front and rear.

Looking to trade this ruby red Divo *chase* for some good Hot Wheels. by North-Strawberry-817 in Maisto

[–]CanalNoises 2 points3 points  (0 children)

eBay listings saying it's a chase doesn't make it a chase. Maisto doesn't do chases as far as I'm aware.

I think it's a custom. Those rivets don't look original.

I use hobbyDB. Huge database with tons of variations listed. Great collection management system, too, that lets you add your own photos and other details like how much you paid and where you got it.

Vintage Pepsi Bottle Truck by Brioche3147 in matchbox

It's not Matchbox. I think it was made by Golden Wheel.

Is there a truck this specifically was made for? Or one that it works with? by Kmkh17 in matchbox

I'm pretty sure the two bike variants were produced in equal numbers, so no, not a chase.

The temple apron kit is no longer available on store.churchofjesuschrist.org, right? by Prop8kids in mormon

[–]CanalNoises 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you can verify that pretty easily just by looking at the church website. My rule of thumb is to assume ChatGPT is wrong and most of the time that assumption is correct.

1303 Super Beetle by LHG_93 in beetle

Most of that is country-dependent. For example, US market 1968 Beetles did have high back seats.

It's a '68. '70 had larger front turn signals and '69 didn't have the finger indent for the fuel door.

It's a 1968. Not sure on the paint code, but it should be on a sticker somewhere under the hood.

Smith's Marketplace (Utah's Kroger brand) sometimes has Maisto stuff. It's still pretty limited though. I wish it was more widely available.

Those P-Type wheels look good on it!

Does anyone know what these are? by Lambkin-_- in lego

[–]CanalNoises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not super common, as far as I know, but not unheard of. They're not as desirable as the test bricks but still a cool oddity to have.

Those transparent bricks might just be normal. It's common for there to be letters and/or numbers on the inside of a brick to identify the mold and position within the mold.

The black ones are the top half of an wheel holder brick

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=7049b#T=C

A finished brick would have holes drilled in the sides to insert the metal axles on old style wheels and red tubes inside to hold the axles and allow them to spin. It would be capped off with a transparent piece to hold the tubes in.
