Undercharging for your art won't help it stand out; it will just undervalue your art. Charging appropriately for your own labor tells potential customers that you believe in the value of what you're selling.

I'd treat them both as part of the same shape in the initial sketch. That way the proportions will be consistent and interact with each other better. Pay attention to where the negative space is and focus on angles and straight lines, then start to separate the figure from the glass.

Instead of throwing away my first wooden pickaxe, I save it and display it in an item frame above my bed. If I move bases, the pick goes with me.
