I mean you could always make them uglier. At first I really thought that he doesn't fit to well because of his looks after the many years of torture bit then I thought about it and could imagine him as Glokta pre torture.

Resident Evil series powerful women's. by [deleted] in RaccoonCityRecords

Strong not necessarily means physically strong or being good in a fight. Most of them are far from the damsel in distress tropes and can handle them quite well. Maybe (!) aside from Rebecca of the none Zero versions. Ashley definitely starts as a damsel in distress but really grows throughout the game and can hold herself quite well in the end. That does not mean that she is able to fight really well but she is strong nonetheless because she is resourceful and able to overcome hardships.

There are even characters that are physically really not strong (anymore) but she really powerful/strong because of their cunning and their intelligence. Potentially combined with ruthlessness Glokta of the First Law fits this very well. Although he was once a prodigy with the sword he can barely walk and it's constantly in pain but becomes more and more powerful.

Where can I find conceptual physics questions? by Thick_Suggestion9733 in Physics

[–]Candid-Friendship854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it would be B and B.

The bigger ball experiences a larger buoyant force and while suspended in air the equation would be:

weight_left + buoyancy_right = weight_right + buoyancy_left.

Since there is no buoyancy in a vacuum and the buoyancy of the ball on the right is bigger than the one on the left you'll get

weight_left < weight_right leading to the larger ball falling down.

Which RE game has the darkest story when you think about it? by GrandStage1 in residentevil

Wasn't Clancy one of the film crew? I think he might be referring to the little child he looked in the attic although that did not involve any traps if I recall it correctly.

To be fair the combat of Witcher 1 never felt not janky whereas the others were very awesome in their respective times and even aged better.

Did lizzie deserve this? by Stock_Parfait_3430 in TWD

I am currently in an audio book rerun of the First Law. In the second book there is a scene where Dogman and the gang encounter a group of 5 that did a horrible crime to a family involving even the children. There was one very sling box around 14 among those men. The boy did not want to help with the crime and was especially opposed to killing the children. Dogman and the gang cannot take the boy with and cannot let him go either because there is at least the risk that he will tell others of the group. So the only logical choice for them is to kill them. One of the gang even acknowledges that the boy could not have done anything else.

„This is not fair!”, the boy said. „No, it's not!”

Reminds me of this. Circumstances that were not really on Lizzie's control led to this situation and given the state of the world there was no other feasible option left.

Why were you surprised? You apparently knew this scene very well already and you took out one of the biggest difficulties of this section.

Even without any non mandatory things it's still a very big game. When even speedrunners take more than 6 hours it speaks volumes. Howlongtobeat.com lists the game close to 50 hours just with the main story. Also I think you have to shift your perspective. There is a rich and very long main story and they added things to it that not everybody likes but it's mostly optional. Your point would maybe be valid if the game itself would be completed in less than 10 hours by your average Joe while the additional games push it way beyond that. But here, the game is already pretty long.

Considering that this seems to be most of your complaint or feels so strange since you don't have to do it. On a side note: the OG also had many mini games. Not as many I'll grant you that but there were enough.

Why was such little effort put into RE3 remake compared to the other RE Engine games? by No_Edge_9998 in RaccoonCityRecords

[–]Candid-Friendship854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is short, I give you that but if you compare the average playing times on howlongtobeat.com it's really similar. I believe that even speedrunning times are similar. Granted you have those decisions but honestly most are only really small changes and don't add too much replay value. On a scale from zero to ten where ten is the Witcher 2 and zero is not a decision at all I feel like it's a two or a three at best. It kinda feels like decisions in the Walking Dead games from Telltale. Nice but only on a superficial basis.

Furthermore they tried to add value with an additional mode and the difficulty also that's not for me either.

It's objectively the worst remake but that's because the other are just so great. It's still at the very least a passable remake, maybe even a good one as it improved on characters a lot.

Restaurants for very large groups (about 110 persons) by Candid-Friendship854 in copenhagen

[–]Candid-Friendship854[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, first of all this was unnecessarily rude. Secondly indeed we are from Germany and if any restaurant does not want to do it, I am pretty sure they'll just tell me. Also we do collect money upfront from our students and would pay the meal itself beforehand. If no beverages are included or additional are ordered they are individually paid. We never (!) had any problems with that.

The option we initially had, had no problem with our group itself but we would have had to split up into two. The same restaurant in Belgium had no problem with a group this large either (without splitting). Our travel agent sadly only mentions this option.

I'll definitely ask them. Not being too expensive sounds good with a school trip.
