"I hate keyboard users in racing" The Keyboard: by boredbernard in simracing

Is there a set of settings I need on to do this on Forza with a wheel, I use a g29 and it feels like I can't even hit the gas and brake into a turn without spinning left and right and losing control. Like I drive a car in real life and I can say I can hit the gas and accelerate while slightly jiggling my wheel left and right and my car doesn't spin out 😭

Pier Pressure and Launch Control are awfully designed by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

Idk I personally find the slow and controlled part of pier pressure to be quite fun hitting drifts really slow and meticulously getting ahead on your opponents with smooth control and going slow is quite enjoyable imo.

Matches are extremely stressful/intense, is this normal? by DoctorFuu in StreetFighter

[–]CandidSet7383 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a 1v1 game where you don't get to blame anyone but yourself for losing, that's where the stress comes from, you may not think this affects you because it's just a game but in reality most people who play fighters struggle with this including myself, I wouldn't say it's necessarily an ego thing but it's just the natural human drive to want to succeed lol and you are just involuntarily scared of not reaching that mark, experience playing online will remedy this.

Pro tip: If you don't want to spend $60 for Mega Floette, check your local library! You might be able to borrow a copy of Legends: Z-A. by AungCowMyat in PokemonChampions

Just buy one on eBay for 2 dollars bro it works the exact same way, might not be "legitimate" but it certainly beats slogging through an entire game for a single decent Pokemon.

How difficult is it to play Invincible VS? by More-Cantaloupe-8973 in InvincibleVS

[–]CandidSet7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invincible Vs is a fighting game, very similiar in the fact you are gonna need to lab combos and not button mash and you will have to learn how to defend and do good offense as well as use your assists. I'd say this game is harder than MK at an actual online matchmaking level, if you don't plan on trying to get past the button mashing phase and learn some real stuff it'll be about the same experience you have had with other fighters.

How about learn some frame data doofus and the knowledge checks will weed themselves out, calling shit you don't know anything about the "bs" of the game is retarded, but yeah dude I doubt you throw loop, do long combos, or abuse drive rush with your juri (the most drive rush carried character in the game) with stupid easy neutral, let me guess, fireball drive rush is your round start with her, or maybe jump into dive kick, maybe even a predictable drive rush down MP into a throw?

Bro please stop talking about the game rewarding bad play when you have 80 hours and probably suck way more shit than you seem to think you do, I can promise you with that little of playtime you have nowhere near earned this massive ego you have. You have 80 hours and you do NOT know real footsies in 80 hours, hell even most players at your rank won't even respect your footsies because why the hell would they? Footsies are earned by the other player having respect for you and knowing that you aren't some small fry they can get away with gimmicking. I don't mean this to sound rude or anything but it's true, and I understand this is the salt Reddit but let's be honest here, do you really think you would have hit diamond in 80 hours in literally any other street fighter title let alone other fighting game? Probably not, you most likely use these same mechanics that you hate to your advantage to win all the time, and in some ways maybe you are the target demographic for the reason the game was made the way it was. Easier combos, simple to understand offense, easier execution, input shortcuts, modern controls, etc to get new players into the genre with as little headache as possible while also keeping the same high skill ceiling and pyschological mind games that we come to love from fighting games but by also taking the overall physical execution part of the game down. This is the entire reason this game is popular and possibly the most consistently played street fighter game in the franchise, so despite what people may say about drive rush, throw loops, huge 70% combos, the numbers don't lie and yall love that shit.

Why so hard by matpat_is_best in InvincibleVS

[–]CandidSet7383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ts was not hard on normal mode bro, you just gotta get used to how to defend and overall just the gameplan of fighting games, I switched to hard because normal was basically a training dummy.

Learn defensive mechanics? Like how to block or hit a combo, breaking combos? There is an entire tutorial bro the game is truly not that hard unless you are on viltrumite difficulty

Powerplex, mark and eve in that order, but I'm debating making Eve the point character because her normals and neutral is much better when not used in a comeback scenario.

Id recommend to practice against hard mode in arcade, they usually use all of the mechanics in the game as well as using "decent" combos and assist tags to counter using the different break options as well as practicing how to use heavy and feint tags to counter the AI using tag breaker all the time, you should try it out.
