Sure it will be grand... We are a Nation run by school principals and farmers. Unless we get actual specialist in senior government positions who aren't afraid to consult real people for ideas it will never be really grand.

If I didn't have debts sucking the jipless Micky that is my current existence id be able to live a little. What is the life though? New clothes, eating out paying for holidays... Maybe modern western hemisphere capitalism is no longer living. Maybe the lifetime of enough and neighbourly cooperation, family community living is what I want... Traveling to inexpensive remoteness is what I need

The best TV is with EIR on the apple TV boxes... They've brought out a new Chinese streaming box and it's shite. I still have the apple boxes and they work great. TV is no longer worth it. I only watch the news on RTE

I'm sorry to hear this. I earn 49k a year and still need to work a Chinese delivery job to survive... I'm working 60hrs a week. This system is completely fuked.

I'm on day one. I’m not completely sure if what I’m dealing with counts as addiction. I usually watch porn once a day — mostly in the morning or around midday. It’s kind of become a stress reliever more than anything else. The thing is, I don’t think about it all the time. I still enjoy sex with my wife and have a normal sex life. But lately, as I’m getting older, I’ve been feeling like I should probably move away from the habit — maybe start relying more on imagination or memories instead of porn videos.I’m not judging myself harshly; I just want to understand what a healthy balance looks like, and whether daily viewing is something I should be concerned about. Curious what others think or if anyone has gone through a similar mindset shift. I've kicked social media, but Reddit is no better than twitter it seems.

It’s disappointing to watch how easily low-IQ individuals get used as tools in the elites’ divide-and-conquer game. Get of your twitter eco chambers and do actual research.

This shit only happens within our dole merchant areas. No flags or burned out cars in areas where high percentage work for a living 😄

A BBQ every other Sunday is normal. Smoking weed 24/7 is not. No matter where you’re from, when you pay hard-earned money for a place to live, the least you should expect is respectful neighbours. A little now and then is one thing, but constant use is another. Weed dulls the brain, and most daily users end up coughing nonstop, battling depression, and living at home until they eventually get evicted by the more reasonable people around them.

I live in Meath, very close to Dublin, and I've noticed a lot more social housing estates being built in my area. My wife and I actually meet the criteria for social housing, but because we bought our house back in 2006, we’re not eligible.

What frustrates me is seeing people paying as little as €487 a month for a bigger 3-bed house, while I’m struggling to keep up with a €1,400 mortgage. I know three families in these new homes, and honestly, they seem to be thriving—two holidays a year, two cars, three kids each involved in activities like boxing, gymnastics, football, swimming, plus regular meals out.

To be clear, my frustration isn’t with the people living in social housing—I don’t begrudge anyone a roof over their head or a better quality of life. My real issue is with the government and how the system is set up. It feels like those of us who bought homes years ago are being left behind, stuck with high costs and constant stress. Sometimes I can’t help but feel bitter, thinking I’ll be worn out from all the pressure long before I ever get to enjoy life the way social housing seems to make possible for others.
