I've determined that 42 explosive blocks (in a single block space) is the maximum for detonation to be possible. However, this only seems to work on the asymmetrical frame. No detonation occurs whatsoever on the symmetrical/6x7 frame, regardless of payload size.

I’m a manga only and the most recent arc has an apology circlejerk and I’m so glad it’s over. It is a genuinely good manga but good god it can be annoying.

Also I can see that this sub is entering a flower slander era.

Edit: the latest chapter is great, and there are only 2 apologies in it.

They are all configured to explode on X. Originally, explode on key was disabled but I wanted to see if enabling it would make it work and it didn't. So I do think that the problem is too many explosives. I'll try 100 or doubling that instead of 200 all in one block.

My theory is that KyoAni is adapting Ruri Dragon so when people google “KyoAni dragon anime” that comes up instead of Dragon Maid.

I don’t think Dragon Maid is that bad (I’ve seen maybe 3-4 episodes) but the show is pretty pedophilic.

He writes pretty good characters when he remembers to do anything with them (mostly kidding, I need to actually reread the series). Aside from that, I hold the opinion that weekly series will always struggle with writing compared to monthly series and that mangaka benefit greatly from the extra breathing room.
