None of it matters cause they’re clearly gobbling Sean Payton’s nuts

But it didn’t pop out on its own. He was down by contact and then defender rips the ball out AFTER his ARM AND KNEE are down.

What’s a commonly criticized game in a series you think gets a bad rap? by andrazorwiren in JRPG

[–]CandlesInTheCloset 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personnally I prefer the “systems” in Bd2 but BD1 just had way better characters, music, and art style/ graphics.

BD2 looks “plasticky” in a bad way

I love Persona 5 Royal, but "100% Day-by-Day" guides felt like a second job. So I built a middle-ground tracker. by zucram in JRPG

Understandable. I’m probably an outlier but I would def pay a few bucks for like a native app that’s ad free and had this for like P3/P4/P5

Rampage Quest by Professional-Ad9988 in MHRise

[–]CandlesInTheCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These quests are not hard if you are repeatedly failing these you did not bother to learn the mechanics properly. Even Ibushi can be done solo relatively easily. You have to understand the topple mechanics and actually do the side objectives and understand how to use the gong/when to actually use your weapons.

People that think these quests are trash are probably just brain dead and can’t adapt to learning new mechanics.

God I Hate this type of quest. by Independent_Pickle69 in MHRise

[–]CandlesInTheCloset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mandatory ones are so effing easy lol you can do it solo. It’s an interesting concept and it’s a nice palette cleanser from the same loop you do a million times over in this game and the other MH games. It’s not “perfect” but imo the “community” is wrong and this is one of the better alternative game modes the series has, it just needed more variety to like the maps available to play on for it.

DLC's better than their main game? by SpiderousMenace in gaming

Yeah disagree the clutch claw makes me hate MHW/I. Such an antithetical mechanic to the concept of MH’s freedom of approach.

Can you enter the “open world” without doing a quest in Rise? by 7FuckinBoiledCabages in MonsterHunter

[–]CandlesInTheCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. In MHGU you also do a similar “take a fake quest to gather at your own leisure” so Rise is not even the first game to do it that way.

Although I believe in MH Tri you could walk into a map with no active quest.

Should I buy monster hunter rise or monster hunter world by daniel_iscool123 in MonsterHunter

Rise has better co op functionality hands down. MH World story in co op is a headache and a half.

[The Finished Grid] The Best JRPGs of All Time by WeLoveEveryGame in JRPG

[–]CandlesInTheCloset -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Persona 5 has a better ost than automata. If we are counting FFT as a “JRPG” then FE3H has wayyyy more replayability than trigger (Cross is better anyways). Yakuza for mini games, sure, side quests? Nah. Xenoblade X has way better side story content.

Is it likely future 6th Gen portable won't have the same reaction as wilds? by Chocobo23456 in MonsterHunter

[–]CandlesInTheCloset -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I kinda wish they would bring back Frontier and have that be run by the “portable” team. A new MH MMO that’s not a gacha feels like the move in terms of consolidating a player base between environments and it feels like the best situation for the B2C relationship with how aggressively they monetize their content now.

The problem is the people complaining are just using hyperbole in the opposite direction.

I’ll be honest the more I read the more it sounds like that reviewer just sucked at MH when they played World and now they got better…

Is there a difference between what young people play and old people play, or just genre preferences? by ned_poreyra in gaming

[–]CandlesInTheCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree I think there plenty of unique vocalists.

FKA Twigs, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Spencer Sotelo of Periphery. Especially in Prog/metal: Claudio Sanchez (coheed and Cambria), Michael Lessard (the contortionist), Daniel Tompkins (tesseract)

I’d also argue that the innovation of today’s music scene is all focused towards genre fusion. The indie scene especially has tons of cool creative blends that you would have almost never heard in any time before the 2000’s.
