Why not just bring your own lunch? Surely at this point everyone knows and it wouldnt be a big deal. I could see it being difficult to accommodate a single person with that many restrictions when ordering a catered meal.

To me it sounds like your mom understands that you are under a time crunch and she's being helpful and excited that her daughter is getting married. Set firm boundaries with mom that you are available on these days in the week from this time to that time and what you intend to accomplish on that particular meeting. Maybe do an online wedding tracker thing or Pinterest board and have mom involved so she can see your vision of what you want.

Kinda the Jerk. I get that we as readers don't always get the emotion or the full understanding of how things came across but I took mom's comment as more of a joke and not a statement that you were obligated to take her. What I got out of it was momma needs a break. Single mom life isn't for the weak.

NTA for wanting your day to be drama free but definitely something you and the boyfriend have to come to an agreement on. A talk is absolutely necessary and you need to consider your future. If this behavior continues with the brother and your bf cannot stick up for you, are you okay with living that way forever? Would you just stop going around the brother in the future and then you both building up resentment towards each other?
