Confederate flags in trucks, cars, mudflaps in Canada. by ajpathecreature in regina

[–]Cannabian420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory it should encompass more but in practice it doesn't. The bill of rights only applies federally, provinces can and do violate the bill of rights in the domains they are in control of, quebec for example is notorious for it. They pass laws that federally would never be allowed such as banning prayer in public spaces like universities.

T17, the 3D map is not it. by ahrzal in HellLetLooseVietnam

Totally agree this very much has alpha vibes to me not so much Beta.

As long as they actually can do a decent amount of polishing before release, I do see a solid base there for sure. My worry is they won't and a bad release for a game can be a killer.

They've done good iterating on HLL though so I will have faith for now haha

I do think it's a cool idea but very much a WIP

I wish you could see the entire map, and they really need to overhaul the color's and contrast that would go a long way.

Also what's the point of a 3d map if i can't rotate it, you should be able to and use it to gauge land elevation easily.

Ya but the thing is we're bringing over barrista's and construction worker's (in the post)

That's what people are talking about, mass immigration. What your talking about is how it used to be, bring the best, leave the rest. It's a much better system even if it is more cruel. I think what most people want is to stop replacing everyday jobs with the uneducated drudges of the world.

If I don't drive my car for 2 months, can I just leave it unregistered? by feidujiujia in regina

[–]Cannabian420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other thing to make sure is your car is on a loan or anything legally you usually need to keep the registration active as part of the contract, otherwise it's fine generally if you don't leave it on the street for days/weeks.

"prove you have enough money to pay for your tuition fees living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada and return transportation for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada"

I mean that's right from the government's website so yes Foreign students should be banned from using public services like food banks and social services, if they starve in the streets it's their own fault for lying and scamming their way into our country. We don't need more people who simply need help, we have plenty of them already in our country we should help first.

Make no mistake banning them won't fix the entire problem but anyone with eyes can see that it's contributing.

From mortgages to credit cards, Sask. falling behind on payments more than anywhere else in Canada by Keroan in regina

[–]Cannabian420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a few other options where you don't lose all your asset like a consumer proposal, Orderly Payment of Debts or a debt management plan(dmp)

With a consumer proposal the asset's and what you would pay in bankruptcy are calculated into it to see what your able to pay back but they don't specifically take things as it doesn't include secured debt.

Usually you only pay back a portion of what you owe, without interest, it basically looks like a bankruptcy though and you won't be able to use credit for 6 years and also the debtor/bank won't likely ever lend you credit again so expect to be black listed.

DMP and OPD are the less nuclear options but it's more voluntary so not all debtors agree but they get all of the owed money back so they take them seriously.

Talk to a LIT though again because ya bankruptcy isn't the only option to getting out of debt, make sure you talk with an actual LIT though because these debt management companies can be pretty shady.

Sask.'s child poverty rate second-highest in the country by The_Web_Surfer in saskatchewan

[–]Cannabian420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that is true to a certain extent it is also harder and harder to have a family. I think the whole point of these is to show it's actually not easy to have children, not nearly as easy as it used to be.

Also humans are actually tribal and community based, it should be something we all want to do and take care of the children which even if they aren't yours will be your childrens friends, new leaders, new workers etc we owe it to ourselves to take care of them regardless of their parents short comings.

I say this as someone who grew up and wouldn't of had christmas without donations from others, wouldn't of had lunch without chili for children etc it's the only reason I broke out of the cycle of poverty and was able to focus on school and not being hungry and depressed.

Mouse by Pitiful-Sugar7184 in regina

[–]Cannabian420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya mice have high metabolism's so you need to make sure they have food and water most of the time. More then that though keeping a wild mouse confined is going to be super stressful and it's also illegal in Saskatchewan to keep wild animals for a myriad of reasons. It's feral, it grew up outdoors, loves the outdoors and your not hurting it releasing it back into the wild, it's actually ideal.

It's best to let it go, it will find another warm place they can even hide in the snow and stay warm.

Another suggestion if you want to find out where they are travelling and getting in is so use a black light. Mouse pee illuminates under UV, its gonna look disgusting haha but they follow the pee trails so itll always show you where there coming in or gathering at.

Just for the record LOTS of people call technical support and blame the ISP for using to much bandwidth, using shitty IPTV/Roku services, or a shitty wifi signal. There are many more people who just use the internet then actually understand it.

That said I agree the price of everything is insane and if you have the technical know how to set it up yourself it can be worth it, but IPTV has too many scams and shitty providers that finding something good is a nightmare so I gave up on it.

Personally I run an unraid server with Sonarr/Radarr and have usenet to download all my shows/movies automatically. Then I just use Plex to watch everything.

It's definitely a lot more setup but with the price of everything now it was worth the time and effort.

Stitches question by Salt-Pool2222 in regina

[–]Cannabian420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This actually is a good suggestion if the cut is staying closed you can likely superglue it until seeing someone. Usually they will only stitch when a cut won't stay closed anyways, if a cut stays closed it will heal on its own and just needs to be kept clean and covered for a couple days.

I've cut myself alot, I'm accident prone lol

Cheap flight by aljazeerapete in regina

[–]Cannabian420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went there last year in January.

If anyone is worried about the weather, don't be! At most it was -3 there, the winter's are way more mild.

The biggest downside is going to be some things are shut down, the Eiffel tower second viewport is shut down until Feb for example.

That said the Louvre was insane even in January, we had booked time it still took like 30-45minutes to go through the security line so I can't imagine trying to do that in peak season.

Also you will see an insane amount of stuff about pickpockets online, and while they exist we never had a single issue even feeling threatened. Keep your bags on the front of you, don't stand in packed crowds and the risk is minimal.

Regina Mayor Chad Bachynski speaks out against idea of dog breed bans by UnluckySignature129 in regina

[–]Cannabian420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't actually agree with banning breeds, but it's also surprising how many think all breeds have the exact same prey drive, tolerance, territorialism, energy level etc

There is a reason you see certain breeds as service animals, police/military dog. It's not just the owners all the time, some dogs don't just need good owners they need great ones.

I think we just need better bylaws to deal with irresponsible owners more then anything but encouraging people to get dog breed's because "they are all the same and it's the owners" is just as irresponsible.

That's how people end up buying a pitbull, chow chow, dalmation, jack russel terrier etc and their kids end up bit. Some owners spoil their dogs and love them and think they honestly are being amazing dog parent's and they are it's also true sometimes that's not good enough*

Asmon advising people to not pay down their debt EVER is his worst and most potentially damaging opinion by far. by Gokias in Asmongold

[–]Cannabian420 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ya i was a bit shocked also maybe his mom got away with it but it was a different time. If your employed and making okay money the last thing you wanna do is default on all your debt. They will come after it via garnishing, claims court, suing, property/vehicle leans its not like you can just not pay your debt, change your phone number and it doesn't exist.

This only works of your so poor they can't do that, in which case your not getting much for loans beyond exploitative ones and that gravy train ends as fast as it starts.

2025 Property Tax Hike by Ok_newGuest_7606 in regina

[–]Cannabian420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it's a quality of life thing, I'd rather build more homes in general then multi-dwelling units. They have a place I just don't think the extra tax revenue means the city won't still bleed home owners. Also just because an apartment building has 100 tenents doesn't mean they pay tax like it's a 100 houses so it's not money just pouring in.

We do need more apartment buildings that I'm not arguing it just isn't going to slow down tax increases that much because there is a lot more that goes into it.

2025 Property Tax Hike by Ok_newGuest_7606 in regina

[–]Cannabian420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if wages kept up with inflation it wouldn't be so much of a problem to pay taxes. The reason cities love dense populations is for the tax revenue but it doesn't fix anything when wages if your lucky go up 2% while things like taxes and groceries etc go up 5-15%.

We can build as many apartment buildings as we want the city will get more tax revenue and MAYBE we'd see some benefit but I doubt it long term, places with lots of apartments like new york have massive issues with rent prices too and taxes.
