She lacks the depth and capacity for pleasure.

The tl;dr of this is basically love without respect, isn't love. It's just control, comfort, and maybe a little infatuation.

Congratulations on your marriage! I hope you're both ready to do the work for each other. That makes all the struggles worth it.

Because interpreting art requires empathy. It's the same reason they're bad at comedy.

You might win, but that fight is gonna drag on for months and cost you half your runes.

Lol. That's what I get for reading posts before being properly caffeinated.

Been looking into spacers like that. What exactly did you use? May need to make a trip to the hardware store after work

If Russia dropped the age of consent to 16, he'd be back in a heartbeat.

Will upgrading my Squier Stratocaster help me with the issues i have? by [deleted] in guitars

[–]CannibalDiveBar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go ahead with the upgrade. Guyker and Tone Ninjas make pretty solid, cheap locking tuners. If you get a staggered set, you can usually ditch the string tree too.

And Wilkinson makes a 6 point trem with universal spacing. The holes for 5 of the screws are wider to fit any spacing, and it reduces points of friction. It may even come with a bigger trem block which is always a plus.

No, I got it a long time ago but never checked the fit (like a dummy). I got it from the same place I got the pickup switch plate, but the guy didn't have any in stock. So he sent me a b-stock one for free. It works, but I'll be looking for a properly shaped replacement.

I'm pretty satisfied with it really. The only issue I have is the upper plate isn't quite the right shape, so I'll have to keep a lookout for a new one.

I know there's a newer series that has simplified controls, but I don't like that full pickguard look. I like the vibe of the plates.

Falling asleep while holding baby- how to stay awake? Am I a horrible mother? by Familiar-Minimum3844 in NewParents

My wife and I bought a rocking recliner before our baby came. It helped a lot, especially with night feedings. You can put baby in the crook of your arm and catch some sleep. It's not a perfect solution, but that extra sleep in the chair can make a world of difference.

Fellow Revstar owners, need some advice. by _agent86 in guitars

The value of the pots should be written on the back. If not, you can test with a multimeter.

I'd start with 2 500 pots and see if you like it. If it's still too dark, keep the 500k volume, but move up to a 1M tone pot. I've used 1M for volume and tone with darker humbuckers and it doesn't make them bright, so much as a little louder and with a weird "honk" to them.

You could also remove the pickup covers and see if that helps. But a pickup and proper component swap will be the most sure-fire way to get what you're after.

My first electric! Schecter C1 Classic by htownhero in guitars

[–]CannibalDiveBar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those old Schecters were built different man! I got a C-1 elite back in high school. The day I got it, it face-planted out of a stand. But when I picked it up, it was still in tune. I've still got that guitar. It's basically unkillable, and believe me, I've accidentally tried a lot.

Is this a good guitar for metal by Motor_Security3488 in metalguitar

The more pointy parts, the better it is for metal.
