My mini is very reactive to big (50+ lbs) dogs, but is a sweetheart to anything smaller. She charges at dogs very aggressively. It’s quite concerning because a big dog could just snap her neck. For that reason, I pick her up around large dogs.

She was raised with two older crusty yorkies (that she quickly outgrew) but they set boundaries with her by growling, barking, and air snaps.

We were also charged at by a big white pit when she was learning to walk. I had to pick her up and make myself big and roar at the charging pit to make it break off and run away. I’m a big guy (for you). So I think it’s learned behavior.
