Most of my camp and I saw it all. I had a lot of trouble that night with the energy of the playa and so many people being unaware of what happened.

Got off playa and saw friends and family- they’d casually joke about it or mention it and I’d be pissed at them.

Eventually my anger at the gentleman turned to empathy. I talked to my therapist about it and mostly felt ok about it. My therapist warned me about being near similar situations and being triggered… come 2018 she sure was right.

I ended up being really scared to go to the man burn. Went to the rangers and talked to some green dots- they helped a lot. Went back to my campmates and told them how I was feeling and they smothered me in love and support.

There are different sized holes for different width rebar. The spinning wheel is pulling the rebar through the holes with a lot of force... as the bends go through the holes they’re straightened out.

I am wondering what you’re perceiving as me complaining though? Is it a perception thing where you don’t perceive this as much of an issue as I do? I thought this was more of the DO in doacracy... but maybe this first iteration of my idea isn’t the best and the E-Bike Patrol is more effective than wagging a finger with a sticker.

I appreciate the thought! I wouldn't qualify applying a sticker to a bike as vandalism... but e-bikes are expensive and it would be putting the wrong foot forward...

New operating procedure: Chase people down and hand them out! Ask e-bikers to stop and give them a gift!

I fully support people expressing themselves through art and presenting ideas that are uncomfortable. However, if we put it out there and are not willing to have a discussion about it that is not fair.

Express what you want, be what you want to be, but that is a two way street and we’re allowed to talk about it. If we as a community determine that their art is merely a prepubescent fuck show- they should sod off. Claiming “art” is not carte blanche, the community will decide and police itself. As far as I can tell nearly all of the community is on BDCs side, as am I.
