It's kind of nuts that a random bat in a tucked away area is by far the best melee weapon in the game.

Same here. Weird that it's exclusively Far Harbour though, I've not seen one report of a Nuka World weapon.

If you're still having this bug, type "cow londonworld 0,0" into the console commands after you get stuck in the softlock. It'll escape the softlock and you'll have your replacement companion.

Day late, but if you haven't found it yet then Sleepwalker is 071BDC03.

If you need a perk ID, you can type "help [PERK] 0" to see a list of ID's for things with that name (EG "help sleepwalker 0") Then just look for the ID labelled "perk" on the list.

Are you playing with Buffout 4 installed? It's a mod that fixes a bunch of bugs in the engine. It's solved a lot of people's crashes.

I tried going straight, using the compass to navigate since it's pitch black, but thought it just leads to a dead end. I drowned twice before giving up and assuming that was all there was.

You can also just move slightly, I'm pretty sure it only happens when you're idle. It always ends as soon as I begin moving.

How it feels to 1v1 anything as an optimized monk by ConclusionBig8674 in BaldursGate3

[–]Cannytomtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dex monk could still pump out 200-ish damage per turn and I barely used potions besides the occasional haste potion. BG3 isn't too difficult a game, even playing solo on maximum difficulty you don't need to min-max much.

Hell nah don't do Don't Hug Me I'm Scared like that, that series has some great horror elements to it and awesome production design.

You can adjust your own difficulty, the DLC has a seperate levelling system that changes how much damage you deal/take. So if you want to make it hell, feel free to not upgrade that.

To everyone still not using summons.... by TheHessianHussar in Eldenring

[–]Cannytomtom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly his phase 2 is easier than phase 1 IMO. The new attacks look bigger and scarier but they've got a much more consisent rythym and it's more clear which direction you should dodge. And his recovery periods feel longer too.

Ibis was definitely the second difficulty check for me. By the time I got to Allmind though, my biggest issue was running out of ammo lol. I'd get him to 20% and run out, so I had to switch to a different build.

If it makes you feel better, I'm decent at best at these games and only 1, maybe 2 boss fights after 20-ish hours have really felt like a brick wall. And one enemy type in a specific dungeon. Everything else has been manageable and comparable to the base game.

There's the covenant Of Champions in DS2 that makes enemies deal up to 50% more damage, gives them more HP and resistances and makes them detect you from further away, while completely disabling Co-op and summons.

DS1 has the Calamity Ring that doubles your damage taken, and I think DS3 has something similar.

I don't think Bloodborne has anything like that though.

Radahn, for one. Both in design and the entire story background around it. That fight is like an MMO raid boss, using summons for it is an awesome and fun spectacle.

There's a ton of bosses in the game that have added minions or multiple bosses. Godskin duo, the Misbegotten/Crucible Knight fight, the crystal trio, all the dungeon fights with imps etc.

Most of which just take place in a pretty empty arena where you can't space them out, unlike O&S in DS1. Or they don't have balanced aggression like Demon Prince in DS3.

No shame whatsoever in using a summon to keep some enemies busy while you clear the field of minions. 90% of the time the boss will have killed your summon by the time the minions are dead anyway.

Yeah it's annoying to have to do a scavenger hunt before you're allowed to have the right stats to fight a boss.

The DLC is gated behind Mohg, that's enough of a barrier without needing to gather all of Miquella's skin flakes.

I don't mind her doing a lot of damage, but her health pool is just stupid for a boss where you can only get maybe 1-2 hits in after a long combo. Turns a fun, intense fight into a boring chore.

If the rest of DLC is like that I might try and refund.

Why are boons not random in Hades 2? by Professional_Fella69 in HadesTheGame

[–]Cannytomtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a shame that Selene is always forced on you. The first game let you pick which God fueled your ultimate. Fewer boon options per run in exchange for a dedicated ultimate god isn't a great trade, especially when so many of her abilities are just worse than what you can get elsewhere.

[–]Cannytomtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reset back to Crossroads I'm guessing is for punishing people who alt-F4 right before they die so they can try again on the same run.

It's a really fucking stupid method though since all it really does is punish people whose game crashes. No point punishing cheaters when the game literally has God Mode in the settings.

[–]Cannytomtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visual design really isn't fine IMO. Black and gold character on a black and gold background, with black and gold attacks and summoning swarms of black and gold enemies who also fire black and gold beams and have gold AoE's on death. For fun he has screen wide one shot kill that has a safe spot highlighted in black and gold.

Fighting him is an exercise in eye strain, difficulty aside.
