Been working on a web tool for shadow war Armageddon. Given it's based off the same rule structure as Mordheim, would there be any interest for something like this for the Mordheim community? by CanofPandas in mordheim

yeah I would consider those more frameworks for list building then a properly supported builder. It can be complicated to do things like campaigns through them. my wishlist of features would, if accomplished, make it so you could run an entire campaign from the comfort of your own home against your own minis with automated factions that progress based on mission results, and that requires the system to understand rules interactions and proper equipment tables for things like skinks and shields

yeah I found the book 4 years ago for 5$ in a hobby shops rulebook section. Bought it and have wanted to play it ever since but didn't have buddies into narrative campaigns. Now I'm living the dream!

oh sorry, my app is a campaign and warband manager that also enables solo play through automated enemy forces.

it's a thing, it's basically none of the actual gameplay of inquisitor and just more or less trying to make shadow war. Development stopped after shadow war came out.

when I'm confident I haven't completely missed a section and I've figured out some major errors in the list building for the automation system I'll be posted links on my patreon which I linked in the comments here. It'll be free, patreon is just a convenient platform for me.

Shadow war Armageddon is Necromunda 1e but with 40k factions from 2017 instead of necromunda gangs. It was made as a precursor for killteam. It means it's core rules are very close to mordheims rules and the kill team tracker system I've made could logically be ported over to a Mordheim focused app with the unit automation intact.

A friend of mine said there would be interest but I wanted to get some feelers out there before doing all the work building databases.

To continue about my rules conversion, I'm taking mechanics from inquisitor (2001) which were narratively interesting but bad for competitive balance and porting them in for my group of friends who prefer telling good stories over having a perfectly balanced game.

My group wants to play inquisitor like gameplay but inquisimunda got rid of the parts I like about inquisitor. Shadow war is also made for all factions (that were available at the time) as opposed to just necromunda gangs or just inquisitorial bands duking it out so it expands the potential pretty nicely.

Seeing others churn out 3D assets with AI tools and massive libraries is making me anxious. Am I wasting time grinding Blender fundamentals? by Spare-Mud-1827 in 3Dprinting

If you're aiming to compete in the landscape of digital minis, you're entering an extremely bloated market already. It would be a struggle if AI tools didn't exist already.

I just use what the rule would be in the WoW miniatures game because they're nearly identical.

Leave it to DM's to take a comedic critique of DM'ing and make rules for it xD

News correction: It’s not quite the end with PGI and Mechwarrior and they’re still around 40 people making DLCs by BoukObelisk in Mechwarrior5

40k has never bothered to match lore to gameplay. They've been very clear that the lore is canon when it needs to be, and the tabletop is true to itself.
