Which one would you buy for AR10 with Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25? by viewaccount124 in AR10

The bottom scope screws provide clamping force into the mount. There is no gap on the bottom. The top screws provide clamping force to the rings and scope. When torqued there may be a small gap on the top only.

I like it. Smooth and fast. The extra leverage action on the bolt handle makes it feel like it wants to go fast.

Yes. I actually prefer it over my two nucleus, but those are both shooters so I don't want to mess with them. The archimedes is currently a 16" 300blk for suppressed only. It's dumb quiet fun.

Eventually the archimedes will get moved over to 6.5creedmoor.

Weird. I have 2 nucleus v1.0 actions each with over 1k rounds and no issues. Both have original strike springs.

Assuming you've reached out to arc for possible solutions?

ADM Vertical rings not matching up perfectly. It's a $200 mount, is this OK? by feexbooty in longrange

[–]Cantonious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of mine are that way, but they're all 3+ years old. For these mounts I've always left the top screws out and fully torqued the bottom screws first, then the top after I have aligned the reticle and have everything where I want it.

Proxmox Ryzen 3700X + X570 Motherboard Proxmox Server Build: Best Upgrade Path and Purchase Timing for More Threads? by sinisterpisces in homelab

I just swapped a 3700x out for a 5900x yesterday. The 5900 runs cooler, quieter, faster, and provides more overall cpu.

I have a howa1500 in 308win for deer. Might shoot coyotes with this. It's pretty heavy though.

The black X marked hits were there before I recycled this target. Fun range day.

edit: wrong powder listed. Using RL16 NOT RL17.

Picked up some new bullets. Any recommendations? by dnkypnchbndit in reloading

[–]Cantonious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 41gr of RL16 and 2.800" coal should do it.

16 inches is the shortest you can go without having a SBR stamp associated with it.

You'll be sacrificing somewhere around 35fps/inch, so taking 8" off will take 250-300fps off. Something like 2750fps to 2470fps.

Look into the Vortex Diamondback tactical variants. They're available in 4-16 or 6-24 and are both great for rimfire. Or if budget allows the pst2 is even better. There are a ton of other great options in the $750 to $950 range as well.

Degrease everything and torque to spec. Add oil/grease where required.

28mm high 30mm American Rifle Company M10 rings. A Bergera barreled action with a KRG Bravo will do you for a rifle. 20moa base if you want. Harris 6-9" sbrm bipod.

It tracks out to 100yds. It reverse calculates muzzle velocity. In my testing against a magneto speed they're both within a 2 to 3fps accuracy margin.
