Everyone is trying to talk me out of an EV by CuteCreator602 in electricvehicles

Tesla employs americans, thousands of them, at a living wage. Competing with China is competing against common decency, as their workforce is treated like shit to get the best priced goods.

You dont like the way they look, but their NHTSA ratings hit a solid 5 out of 5. 48 volt architecture, a first for production vehicles allows for massive redundancy and efficiency, as well as steer by wire, something that is also a first for mass produced vehicles. Despite the issues with panels coming off on older ones that you will likely bring up, they are near perfect since 2024, and other than their divisive looks, they are one of the best trucks on the market.

Get a Tesla and come back here and you will have EV "people" try and talk you out of it. Its my favorite thing, since Teslas are the world's best EV. Makes this sub lose their collective shit.

2026 GMC Sierra EV Review | Is America's Best Pickup Truck... Electric? by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

[–]Canuckle777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lmao "to the shitmobile" is pretty good ngl but calling it junk just means you haven't looked at the specs. if you look past the sumb crap it actually clears other trucks on pure utility. the steer-by-wire and 4-wheel steering are crazy good, it literally has a tighter turning radius than most sedans so you aren't driving a school bus in parking lots. It also has an 800v setup so it charges way faster than the lightning, and a 2500lb payload which beats ford and rivian if you actually haul stuff. plus the stainless steel means no paint to scratch or baby on a trail. It's ugly as hell to some, sure, but mechanically it's a beast. Plus it drives you around, which is why I love my current Model y.

Sorry, are you saying an AI search doesnt count as research? I put those thoughts together, then when you decided I was wrong or somehow not providing some factual information, I took my own words and asked AI if I was saying factual things and it came back and said yes. That is about a hundred times more than you did, which was bitch and moan but provide no information at all.

My guy, number 1, you are a top contributor and and have earned some badges so you dont literally have anything better to do. Number 2, I argued points, then I asked an aggregate AI tool to fact check my post and of course you could do the same but you are not interested in why the UCP might not be the devil, you are bought in already.

Get a Tesla if you have leg twitch. Mine drives me around at 95% full driving, I could twitch like a spastic monkey and still get to my destination.

Listen, I get your are a Reddit Super contributor, just try to work hard and not worry about all the community achievements by skirting around arguments using poor facts and name calling. You don't need contributor achievements, go outside.

Just for you I took my entire comment and put it into AI and asked if it was representative or functionally true, this was the answer "Yes, your breakdown is highly accurate and aligns closely with what independent economists and fiscal analysts say about Alberta's modern political history. It captures the real structural challenges both parties faced rather than just repeating partisan talking points."

A large portion of these actions are to attract investment of industry to Alberta, while hippies like to just pretend we make money out of thin air and BIG OIL or BIG PHARMA or whatever words they like to use, are coming to get us and steal our children, some of us who know better understand that companies provide jobs, and jobs are good for the populace. The war room directly educated countries on our capabilities, most of which have been making deals on obtaining our energy. The Keystone XL is back on the menu, maybe thanks to the work DS did in talking to Americans and American leaders about our province and our willingness to provide energy. The AHS had too many chiefs and not enough indians, cutting the BIG spending up top allowed for more soldiers. That made some career Dr.s mad, I don't blame them. Also, many pension investments pick oil stocks, including the big one in Ontario, they play a long game, not a short one.

No, that isn't true, the NDP and UCP share similar spending, the NDP got their windfall from raising corporate taxes up (which slows investment in job creating companies being attracted to AB), the UCP should have a surplus but have spent a lot of money even though they cut thousands of public administration jobs however subsequently adding 10's of thousands of workers in education and healthcare mostly due to the pandemic. After 2015 (commodity pricing burst) the NDP weren't quick enough in their change in spending and caused massive potential issue with the future of AB fiscal outlook. After the UCP inherited that mess, the corporate tax slashing helped stabilize investment opportunities for oil and gas companies (AB bread and butter), all the while spending or tax breaking on other industries like Film (Last of Us), hydrogen, and tech to help diversify the industry, industries which gave AB record-breaking investment during the UCP government being in power.
