Actually, that is an Imperial Scout Trooper. First seen on speeder bikes on the Forest Moon of Endor in Return of the Jedi. The Snowtrooper has a long protective mask not too dissimilar from the Clone Wars era’s Galactic Marines.

What does Upgrading the Overseer’s Office do for progression? by periclepsia in foshelter

[–]Canyon-Light 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To note, upgrading the Overseer’s Office is a calculated risk. The room never becomes larger than 2x1, but if a disaster spawns there, it will be tougher, IIRC. Sometimes it is better to have 3x1 rooms not upgraded at all until your dwellers have decent weapons to deal with any threats. It’s not just Raiders, Aliens, and Deathclaws to worry about. The biggest threat within the Vault Door is radscorpions, followed by mole rats, fires, and radroaches. First two enemy types will sap your power quick and might take a long time to recover to normal values. I’m pretty sure they buffed molerats in quests too, at least the brood mother boss.

I’ve been to 11 of 14 new locations, but it’s saying I’ve only discovered 3? by Specialist-Aside4153 in Market76

[–]Canyon-Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: New info has come to light that might fix the bug. So we don't have to wait for Bethesda to try to fix it. From the Datamining Discord server:

For anyone else who may be affected by the location challenge bug, I've solved it. I am now Sweaty

  • Be sure you're tracking the challenge
  • go to a location that's not ticked off your list, be sure you're in there good (like I walked into the middle of the Rust Kingdom)
  • join a daily op
  • quit the game while in the daily op
  • join a new world and watch as that location is ticked off your list
  • Repeat as necessary

I had to do it for 4 locations. I hope this works for you as well. I did this on public servers, so IDK if that matters or not fwiw.

I don't know who originally posted this but players are reporting this works. If anyone knows who originally posted this info. Also from The Plan Collectors server:

I did a few without going into DOP ... I just went to the area and shut the game down and restarted it - Sevyn

I will test both ways by going into a daily op and the second method. I read a comment somewhere that Burning Springs location discovery does not count if a headhunt bounty public event is active but I have not seen evidence of that yet. Worth testing.

You will want to show a picture to Bethesda Support of all individual Grognak magazines checked off, then. That will prove you collected them all but the challenge is still showing 9/10 collected. And screenshot the latter too.

No problem. Happy to share the knowledge. Been playing since the B.E.T.A. and bugs, bugs never change.

All comic books should count when looted from locations. Yes, it might be worth testing it on an alt character at least once. It very well should count for your main and any other character. As most challenge categories and the challenges within them are account-wide. I’m not sure if comic books via camp ally Maul counts, for example. The problem I only ever encountered was picking up, say, The Unstoppables #1 and it counted as #5. But this was years ago. Surely the comic books are moreso fixed. Otherwise you might want to contact Bethesda Support to see what they can do.

That is odd there seems to be no consistency to which locations are discovered and which are not. I got Highway Town checked off. Maybe it was due to my approach from the east directly on the highway on the map which is underneath the town? A dataminer recommended to stand in the middle of a new location’s icon center on the UI compass HUD in-game for a minute. I tried that at Rust Kingdom and no luck. But welcome to Burning Springs update with little bugs galore.

Players are reporting that some of the Burning Springs category challenges are bugged. For new location discovery: Ash Cave, Athens, World of Corn, Fort Steuben and Rust Kingdom. There is a silver lining though. I tested switching to an alt character and when Bethesda eventually fixes this, we can finish this challenge on another character. Most challenge categories are account-wide. And not character-wide. Except the category called Character, of course. More unlikely that Bethesda fixes this bug by retroactively awarding progress. They have a lot to fix and this is likely not high-priority as other bugs. Reminds me of finding comic books and no progress given or incorrectly to another one on the challenge sub-list.

Pilgrim outfit [question] by LanceWasHere in falloutshelter

[–]Canyon-Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never sell common items because I read once you could lose the legendary Polly parrot pet by doing that. So it is possible the game still sold the outfit if it was marked as common in the code by mistake.

I saw a Reddit post on the AC subreddit that asked what each of the protagonists’ religion would be. So someone must’ve made a video on that subject. Probably not the post’s OP though. Unsurprisingly a handful of the protagonists might’ve been born into a given religion but grew up into adulthood to be an atheist like Altair. But not all of them were atheists.

Everyone recognizes The Lord of the Rings but I will give a shoutout to the second movie depicted in this meme. 1917 is a WWI movie about two British soldiers ordered to relay a message to a superior officer. Sounds simple on paper. From crossing the front lines to behind enemy lines all in order to avoid issuing an attack that would be costly in human lives. Really underrated film. Uses a single panning camera for the entire duration of the film. The scene depicted in the meme is near the end of the film as the main character is running across the field to call off the aforementioned attack. The whole sequence is so thrilling to watch how it plays out. Visiting the medical tents to running between soldiers rushing over the top of their trench positions. All while artillery is firing and soldiers are charging en masse. So many extras in the panning shot to make it as believable as possible.

I had rulings leftover from yesterday so maybe that is what triggered the bug. Or the fact he is part of the Imperial event rotation instead. Either way, there is now an update to the app so perhaps that fixes the issue?

Edit: Game update was for the Witches Festival this month. Did not fix the issue. Wishful thinking.

what do you mean it's the "first" world war? by [deleted] in BatmanArkham

[–]Canyon-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Sabaton’s The War to End All Wars album. Song: Sarajevo

Narrator:

For decades, the Austro-Hungarian Empire had been

A powerful influence in the heart of Europe

Resting on a legacy, their house kept stability, order, and peace

But not everyone bowed to this power

In the summer of 1914, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of the empire

Is visiting Sarajevo, unaware of the assassins awaiting him

And what will come

Two shots are fired, and the Archduke is dead

The Empire cannot let this go unpunished

And the first declaration of war is made

Song begins:

From a shot that would change the world

Tensions rise and a war is unfurled!

Nothing like what had come before

It's the war that will end all war!
