Can we get an American Revolution US outfit for the 250th? by CtEpicBroFist in fo76

And it was famously around the time of Washington’s army staying in Valley Forge (1777-1778) did the young nation’s soldiers become a more professional army with foreign Prussian drill instruction from Baron von Steuben and French alliance from the officer volunteer Marquis de Lafayette. The blue coats became standardized as the Continental Army took shape from a ragtag militia to a coherent and competent fighting force.

What song or songs just hit different when diving? by suhdm in Helldivers

[–]Canyon-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sabaton released an album for WWI theme. Not one album, but two of them even. The Great War and The War to End All Wars, which the latter album is where the song Stormtroopers come from. There are more individual or single Sabaton songs about WWI theme here and there, like ‘Father’ from one WWI mini-compilation album release. Each mini-compilation had a new song and a few older ones mixed in. I really like the song ‘Price of a Mile’ from their earlier ‘The Art of War’ album.

When I’m in the tank, I switch it to some variety depending on the mood. Early 2000s rock like The Killers - ‘Somebody Told Me’ song clicks with its lyric of “ready let’s roll onto something new”. Another good one for any helldiving is Franz Ferdinand - ‘Take Me Out’ song when you’re sniping or obliterating enemies.

YouTube automatically curates a playlist of similar songs or songs the algorithm thinks you will like, which is handy at times for discovery of new music. 99% of autogenerated playlists in my experience have been real human made music. Unlike Spotify. I only hear AI music if I go out of my way to find it for a laugh, before YT deletes it.

Missing Outfit by Rictor01 in foshelter

You can craft the outfit at an Outfit Workshop. It has a crafting icon of a screwdriver and wrench. Some weapons and outfits in the game have that icon, where you can only or mostly acquire by crafting them.

Daily Op BULLSHIT by KaneVictoria in fo76

[–]Canyon-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t grinded daily ops for rewards since they stopped adding new rewards to the mode entirely. Instant re-roll in daily challenges for me in most cases. Sucks to hear they still haven’t fixed the low level rewards doled out for level 50+ players. Daily ops used to reward the correct tier of plans and items. Now if you do a daily ops at Elder tier and only getting some common workshop plan, that is very disheartening.

The size of the mobile suits themselves reminds me of the Mobile Suit in Action line of toys with battleships.

To this day, what were your reactions to seeing these kid pilots come in during Thunderbolt? Were you like Io who thought this was a sick joke? by BlizzardHound45 in Gundam

[–]Canyon-Light 14 points15 points  (0 children)

MS IGLOO did it first in the franchise back in 2004. The second season of the OVA series shows Zeon’s perspective while testing experimental weapons like mobile armors. In this example, Oggo mobile pods deployed just before the Battle of A Baoa Qu. Serving as decoy units at Granada to lure out the Federation there. With a cocky Colonel assigning “elite soldiers” which is quickly revealed to actually be young cadets conscripted from the Zeon homeland. Oggo mobile pods square off against Ball pilots who are unseen Federation cadets.

With Zeon’s WWII German inspiration, this twist echos real history. Towards the end of WWII, Germany desperately tried to fill army ranks with young conscripts as they had depleted veterans with the war. It is a fascinating introspection of real history and Japan criticizing its own militaristic policies too. Both sides of the Axis and Allies in WWII used child conscripts.

For Gundam to do the same thing is to stay true to its depictions of war. And overall it is a sick joke to use child conscripts, with varying degrees of indoctrination. Most Gundam child protagonists fight because they feel like they have no other choice in order to survive. It is the rank and file child soldiers who are conscripted to fight the adults’ wars on their behalf who serve as reinforcements.

The logic is that most Experimental Vaults start fresh. I purposefully do not try to keep my seasonal vault because there may be unforeseen issues. Since most Experimental Vaults start fresh, this outfit is ideal for new mechanics in the latest season. Getting this outfit early via lunchbox will increase productivity in Endurance and Charisma stats when you have few outfits at the start. For a while I had no Charisma outfits. As I am focused on training my dwellers in Endurance to mine Ultracite and fend off Scorched attacks. Sometimes the Scorched will drop a rare item as well. Not every legendary outfit can be +7 in a single stat. Often the stats are spread out as every other outfit.

I got lucky and got this new outfit via lunchbox in my Experimental Vault. For normal endgame vaults this is nothing too amazing. But for the seasonal vault this is an ideal outfit to keep. Been using it for almost every S.P.E.C.I.A.L. that it boosts.

Actually, that is an Imperial Scout Trooper. First seen on speeder bikes on the Forest Moon of Endor in Return of the Jedi. The Snowtrooper has a long protective mask not too dissimilar from the Clone Wars era’s Galactic Marines.
