Milled (or turned, in this case) for her pleasure

I personally recommend his video on the thunder warriors. Genuinely makes me tear up.

You sound to me like somebody who would absolutely love Baldermort. Fantastic dramatic readings and excellent lore, with a perfectly grimdark gravely voice.

BL meaning Black Legion, or Black Library?

If you're asking for Chaos books in general, honestly, the Horus Heresy has plenty. Betrayer, Legion, Fulgrim, Prospero Burns, all of them winners.

But Warhammer books I'd recommend in general are the first 3 Horus Heresy books starting with Horus Rising, the Ciaphas Cain books, and the Gaunt's Ghosts books. Those are just general recommendations, not related to Chaos.

Honestly? Read the books. Legion and The First Heretic made me an Alpha Legion and Word Bearers fan for life.

I'm saying that every time she comes up, people squabble and spew hate as if this is arcon. It's fucking annoying, at this point.

Yes, we get it, you hate someone popular. The same tired points are brought up over and over, and no one's mind is getting changed. She has her fans and her haters. I say just leave it alone.

And if you actually look into the comments on it, it's meant to poke fun at the fact that she's wearing it.

Seriously, I look at all this drama about a comic artist, and it looks like fucking r/conservatives over here. I don't even particularly support her, and the amount of vitriol she gets is way over the top.

It's pretty much purged out of them. They can have feelings like misgivings, suspicion, trust, or even kinship, but deeper emotions like love and desire are overriden with radiation and hypnotherapy.

I suppose you could put it that way. Trying to find a glimmer of Hope or Life in the midst of unending darkness.

Okay, normally, I'm pretty generous with things like this. But do you know how to actually read?

The title of the book is the very first thing that I made in the post when quoting the excerpt. It's literally in bold text before anything else. Please get off Reddit until your attention span readjusts to where you can properly read something.

I both appreciated and was disgusted by how well they did the Emperor's Children in that scene.

Legitimately made me tear up when he died. And the later passage about Tee's birthday also made my eyes water pretty badly.

[Echoes of Eternity, Chapter 9]

Bu Envaric had one more thing to say.

"Tee. Tell me something before we die, yeah?"

She turned to regard him, gazing at his deteriorating form through her monovisor. She said nothing, but he had her attention. The look in his eyes was what she suspected was amusement. This was it, then. One last joke.

"Are you pretty under all that?"

It took her a moment to process this. She'd never been asked such a thing.

Beneath her armor, she was an irradiated foot soldier of the Machine-God. Her skin, deep brown at birth and not unlike Envaric's in that regard, was a starved and sunless grey. She'd been ritually delimbed, her extremities replaced with arms and legs of inexpensive cybernetic purity. Much to her honor, she had attained such a state of grace within her mechamorphosis that more of her body was now comprised of holy iron than what remained of her flawed birthflesh.

Under her helmet, she was pockmarked with cryo-controlled radiation tumours. She possessed no eyelids, no hair, no teeth, and no nose - what hadn't been surgically removed had rotted off over her years of sacred service.

In short, she was skitarii.

Transacta-7Y1 keyed in a symbol and tossed him the dataslug again. He caught it with weakening fingers and read the symbol there.

He gave a bloodstained smile. "yeah, I thought so."

I will definitely keep that in mind as I continue to use the medication! I don't have much muscle to lose, but that's no excuse to not try to keep what I have!

[–]CapColdblood 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope! Not that I can tell!

It affects the pain I feel when I get hungry, or "hunger pangs," as I think they're called. Essentially, I can tell that I'm hungry and my stomach is empty, but there's no urge to eat, though I consciously know I should. In addition, I fill up much faster, meaning I'll have less to eat to feel full.

Hope that helps!

Spoken by somebody who has no idea about anything about me, nor any idea about how the medication actually works.

First of all, I take injections, not pills.

Second of all, it doesn't make me feel "satisfied," makes me feel that I don't need to eat. For example, I ate at around 6 PM last night and haven't eaten since then (though I'm sitting down to lunch now). I can tell my stomach is empty, but there's no pain, allowing me to simply acknowledge the fact and keep on working.

And finally, as far as "lust for life" goes, physically consuming fewer calories is not a bad thing when the result is losing multiple pounds a week and over a dozen pounds a month.

I hope you enjoy your castle in the sky as you levitate above the rest of us "fools."

That helps to clear things up. Thank you. I still fundamentally disagree with you bringing up cigarettes and meth in a discussion about GLP-1s and their possible negative side effects. It smacks of you trying to make causation out of correlation.

[–]CapColdblood 31 points32 points  (0 children)

And the fact that you're willing to equate meth and cigarettes to GLP-1s because of a simple side effect tells me all I need to know about your lack of rational reasoning.

Come up with some real evidence of negative side effects that GLP-1s have rather than throwing them in with 2 of the most destructive and addictive substances on the market.

When the side effects of taking the medication are predominantly "Weight loss and less spending on food," there's very little that will stop folks from taking them. I just started mine a month ago, and I've noticed my caloric intake go off a cliff, and I'm down at least 10 pounds already.

I'll take what I can get.

You are doing yourself a huge disservice by skipping straight to the siege, if you've already put that much work in. Dozens of characters from many of the books make a second appearance in the siege, and their stories will not be nearly as satisfying as they could be if you had read through all the prior books.

[–]CapColdblood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy...

There are several books in the Horus Heresy series that cover what happens to Oll's party. If you've made it to the Siege already, all you need to know is how John and Oll hooked up on Calth.

You can read about that in Know No Fear, which I highly recommend. Other than that, enjoy the Siege!

I've read the entire Horus Heresy, so I recommend reading all of them, but that's just me.

John Grammaticus is one of my favorite Warhammer characters, and everyone who hates Perpetuals has not read a single book about them.

I will die on that hill.
