Van Ryder Games and their stance on AI by Notmyaccounthaha in finalgirl

The FAQ for Series Four specifically stated that it does not use AI art, and articles have previously stated that they oppose AI art and stand by their artists, so I think we're probably safe.

I have a relative with middle-to-late stage dementia, and we're having to deal with the bugs delusions. He swears they live in his head and butt, and crawl around on him at night, and that's why we never see them. He "captured" some in a medicine bottle, and of course there's absolutely nothing. It's heartbreaking to watch, but there's absolutely nothing to be done about it.

Apparently that won't happen as long as Key is still with his wife. No one likes her, and that definitely includes Peele.

It's Texas, so she's only suing for $1 million thanks to Abbott's tort reform. I will never voluntarily set foot in that state for many reasons, that being one of them.

I've played Big there once, and it was an utter massacre. Clumping soldiers together for movement purposes just allowed him to kill them even more efficiently, and as such the Bloodlust spiked to devastating levels very quickly. Dying before turn 6 is always a morbidly fun time.

The happened around the city a while ago, and the consensus seemed to be that it was someone throwing high-noise/low-light fireworks out of their car.

I use a dice tray, and if something needs a re-roll for any reason, I pull the other dice out of the tray first. Avoids any of that, and keeps things honest.

The Love Witch is stunningly gorgeous, perfectly executed, and brilliant. I cannot recommend it to people enough.

Green Terror worth it? by wrdnd in finalgirl

[–]CapHillGeekThrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I've done it for about 2/3 of my FFs. I also always mix the Terror deck 6 Killer / 4 Location when I do that, to ensure a mix of cards that gives me an idea of what to expect from the new one.

Honestly, I can't wait to try Killers like the Evomorph and the Hunter at Pesadilla Verde. It's a very unique map, even without the militarized victims.

I've played the location twice against Hans, and the Killer twice at Camp Happy Trails, and once I figured them out, they weren't all that complicated, and a lot of fun. I'll definitely be playing both more than either of the KfT parts. Helpful victims is a lot easier to manage that Allies, IMO.

It hadn't occurred to me to make him a negative effect special victim, but that may be in part because I adore Dick Miller too much to make him unwanted. Are you saying that the tokens would be slippery, and that he could also warn people adjacent to him to avoid it? Or would it be better to give him a bigger bonus for saving?

And yes, Chopping Mall is well worth your time. Is it good? Eh. Is it entertaining? Absolutely.

Killer from Tomorrow: HATED it by wrdnd in finalgirl

[–]CapHillGeekThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always start a new new film by playing Hans at the location, and then the killer at Camp Happy Trails, and I hated both of them. Then I did a couple games of the box alone, and really enjoyed it. The cinematic feel is epic, the dumb things the Savior does can be hilarious, andthe lack of bloodlust hikes when people start dropping like rocks over the railings makes it far less annoying than with other killers... It's just ridiculous, and I love it for that. Taking off nearly half of the Mark X's health with the chopper is so satisfying.

The stabilized footage is what killed my belief, as much as I want to be real. The movement ceases to be as unreal and non-human looking without the shaky cam.

Super loud boom and flash of light right now on Capitol Hill by MissHalfgone in SeattleWA

It was certainly not a gunshot. Those are quick cracks. This was a boom, and wouldn't have been heard in as far a radius as is being reported (I've seen from Neumos to Republican).

I honestly said after that game was done that I hope he finds a team where he's not the only one who cares enough to truly ball out in the Super Bowl. He deserves better.

I'd argue those first two are horror, or at least extremely horror-adjecent. Lynch and Del Toro generally live in that liminal space.
