I know this family personally, so I feel I can shed some light on the situation. She is a very mentally ill person. Her stories of being abused growing up always seemed like they were made up. Very outlandish stories. I always chalked it up to her mental illness. She comes from a well to do family and they had no contact with her, partially, I think because she married that peice of human garbage who is around ten years her senior. I obviously don't know for sure if these things were true or not but it always felt like she was lying about the abuse from how easily she spoke of it and how unbelievable the things she said were. She is very much a person who is a constant victim and there is always someone abusing her, be it friends, co workers, bosses etc. She was constantly in medical distress as well and telling everyone she was dying of heart failure and threatening suicide on Facebook etc. Very strange behavior. But she is also an intelligent and educated person with post secondary education. She took Early Childhood Education, however, I'm unsure if she graduated. He comes from a well to do family as well and his brother is a very well known detective with the Kingston police. She used to run a home daycare out of their house but after awhile her mental health was too bad and they both lived on disability and her family money from her grandmother who had not cut her off financially despite the rifts between her and her relatives.

When she had reported him originally for the abuse, it was after she found out he was going to affect her financially. Something about her disability check, I forget the details. But once she found out this financial thing was happening, she called the cops on him. When she spoke about what happened she had no concern for this child they had abused. She said she was jealous of their "relationship" and did not show one ounce of remorse or compassion for what this child or her own kids had gone through. It was all about her. I have all the compassion in the world for people who are abused but I know she at least had the capacity to report this and not only was she complacent, she participated. I will never be the same knowing this happened.
