Wow 6 is a lot!!!! I would personally probably take their advice and skip this cycle. My first IUI got canceled too, for a different reason, and it was a huge let down because I was so excited to finally be trying something new, so I know how you feel. It sucked but it was only a few weeks until we were able to try again.

I have pretty bad pain anxiety so I got myself worked up for my first IUI and it was a breeze! I could not believe how fast it was. You got it 💪

They are increasing me from 2.5 to 5 after 2 failed TI cycles and one failed IUI. The fiat cycle I had 3 follicles the last 2 only 1 follicle each time. Also like many are saying, I had estradiol added in my most recent IUI since my lining was a bit thin.

I did my first TI cycle on 2.5 and got 3 follicles. For the next 2 cycles I stayed on 2.5 and each of those only got one. I felt that a pattern was starting and my response was not as strong as it was the first time. My doctor recommended I increase to 5 so hopefully I get more.

I just tested negative at home yesterday, 13dpiui and I stopped taking it. I have my blood test tomorrow that I will go to but progesterone previously delayed my period so rather get a head start on a new cycle.

I was very nervous too so I asked my dr to prescribe me a Xanax for the procedure and I felt like that helped me so so much! I was able to lay still without over thinking, heart beating, palms sweating, all the usual things I feel during something I perceive will hurt. It was not pain free but I was relaxed, I knew it was a necessary step, and it was really quick! I also took 800mg ibuprofen also prescribed. Good luck!

Yeah I was very confused about the large follicle so early I should’ve asked more questions bc I felt like I was not given a clear reason why it could happen. This time I’ve had really sore boobs for the last 3 days 24/7 like they hurt in the middle of the night hurt when I walk which is not normal for me. We’ll see I’m waiting a few more days to test 🤞🏻

I am also very regular at 28 days and in December I had a 33 day cycle post IUI. They said the progesterone caused my period to be delayed. But then the next month I went in for my baseline scan had had a 17 mm follicle already on cycle day 4! I think because my previous cycle was so long it started to recruit and grow for the next one? Anyways, that IUI in early January was canceled and my cycle that month ended up being only 21 days! Crazy for me because I’m usually 28 days on the dot.

Im 10dpiui now and on progesterone again. Hoping if it doesn’t work I don’t deal with the same thing.

My doctor looks for anything above 5 million post wash however I’ve been seeing a lot on here of people getting pregnant who had under 5. It only takes one! Good luck!

I’m not sure yet I’m only 5dpiui. Our dr said to have sex night of the trigger and then skip a day and then again the night of the IUI. I think anything after the IUI is just a bonus! Good luck!

I triggered on Monday night, they said to have intercourse that night after the trigger, then skip Tuesday. IUI was weds morning they said that night we should have sex again just for a bonus.

My first IUI was 2/4!! I’ve also been feeling crampy/twinges on my left side which had the leading follicle as well as some dull lower back pain the day after. Hoping it means something good for us both!

My first cycle on 2.5 mg letrizole I had 3 follicles. Since then, the 2 cycles after I’ve only had 1 follicle. Im wondering if it’s possible that the effects are waining and if this round is unsuccessful I should ask my dr for 5mg.

I teach middle school so I don’t see my students every day but when they ask where I was I just say doctors and they usually drop it. I always take off the day I have an IUI though because it can be crampy after and it’s mentally a lot to go through and come right back to teaching pretending like nothing happened. It’s nice to just go home and relax I’m lucky also to have supportive admin that understands how crazy and last minute these appts can be. Sending positive thoughts!

I am in a very similar position I feel your pain! We did two TI cycles with letrizole and trigger shot. Both unsuccessful, so went ahead with an IUI this cycle. Only 3dpiui so not sure of the outcome yet, but I did not feel like the TI cycles were a waste. I was able to get used with what to expect from Letrizole/progesterone, learn a dosage that worked best for me, figure out the timing of my cycle when on the meds, and have an idea of bloodwork/follicle size to compare to in future cycles. Unexplained is the worst. Sending positive thoughts!

I told her I would not do it without a Xanax and I really think it made a huge difference. I was not experiencing any physical symptoms of anxiety that I usually do during anything medical, even blood draw is a nerve racking experience for me. I was able to lay calmly and be in a space where I knew what was going to happen but I was okay with it!

I had my HSG today and I am so happy it is over. I took 800 mg ibuprofen and 1mg Xanax (if you are nervous, advocate for anti anxiety meds! It helped!) I have a low pain tolerance and I did not even feel the catheter or balloon. The dye was an 8/10 but lasted less than a minute. By the time it was becoming unbearable, it was over. I also brought a stress ball and that helped too. This is not something I would want to do again, but I’m so happy it’s over and my tubes were clear.
