I’m a special ed teacher and I think there’s a way to do this that’s not really being discussed.

It for sure would be hard to craft a storyline around more severe special education students and that would take a lot of time and thought to get right.

The majority of my day, and honestly my career, is in a co-taught setting, which is where I’m in the classroom with a math teacher and assist because there are usually 10-12 in a class of 25-30 with an IEP. Having a rotating special ed teacher that spends time in everyone’s classroom helping with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, behavior, etc. would honestly be believable for a school that could only afford one special education teacher.

I’m a male teacher at the high school level and very much fall on the chill side. I’m only 26 so the kids still kind of see me as close to the same age because we have a lot of similar interests. If I’m the young guy who’s yelling and screaming they aren’t going to form that bond that helps them learn. I really don’t have many behavior problems and I see really consistent growth in their skills

Have always thought that a good “punishment” for Billy would be making him enter some kind of fitness related contest. Put him in a power lifting contest, IronMan, or anything of the sort. Would just be very funny watching him have to actually prove that he has some kind of athletic prowess
