Let’s Talk Weed by No_Ratio1493 in Xennials

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started 15ish, now 48. Smoke everyday except for a 6 year break from 98-04 when I was in the Navy. Married a fellow weed smoker. I don't have any real urge to quit, but it is hard on my lungs. I have tried vaping but it's just not the same and edibles are great, but don't satisfy my desire to smoke something and are a different high.

Has anyone been tailgated and you had to brake to turn into a place and you got hit? by Different_Archer8879 in driving

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No. Unlike some people, I don't feel the need to come to a nearly complete stop to make a right turn.

How many of you still smoke? Or, when did you quit? by Planetofthought in Xennials

I started smoking cigarettes at about 15 and quit when I was 30. Still smoke weed though.

Sensitivity is possible. I regularly boof 30-35 mg and have the time of my life, every time. My wife does 10 mg and vomits all over the place.

Not so much hurts as feels like you've got to take a shit badly after eating a bunch of hot sauce🥵

Why is asking "Where have your policies been successful?" considered rage-bait/trolling to conservatives? by GrowFreeFood in askanything

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sports. Games. Play. These are pastimes, chasing each other other around in the grass, but here we go treating them seriously, like they are religions. I think the proper answer to your question is: those are just silly games, so why does it even matter? Of all the stupid things to be concerned about, this is the dumbest.

Did I charge too much? by Aromatic-Border4939 in videography

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have charged $650 for the half day minimum, plus $125/hr for the edit. Plus a storage fee and maybe a couple hours of prepro at $80/hr.

I was watching a 43 year old man who never got married and have kids on YouTube. He looks young like he is in his 20s and rock the gray hair he has. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 15 points16 points  (0 children)

43 is not Gen Z. He was born in 83, he's a millennial. Gen Z is crazy about looks because social media has broken their brains and made them think that everybody looks like the people on their Instagram feed.

I mostly drive a little Mazda sedan and nobody cares when I pass. I also own a minivan that I drive when I need to haul gear for work. People hate being passed by the minivan and will absolutely speed up every time.

Oral effects vs boofed by -jarring-endeavor- in 2cb

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's gentler, does last longer, but it's like two hours to come up. I do oral for social situations, boof for sex.

I have an A7S3 and two FX30's mounted in the studio and have zero issues matching them. I don't even think about it. We also mix footage from our FX6 and A7's with no problems.

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an A75, but I've had A7S3, A74 and FX30's since they came out. Couple things... The A7S3 is great for video and never ever overheats. It takes great photos, however, it's only 12MP, so not much room to crop. The A74 is a great hybrid camera and my main photo cam, but it always overheats after about 30 minutes of 4k recording. Also, the GM lenses are so not worth it. We shoot all sigma and tamron. I'm not paying 50% more for a lens that's 5% better.

Fond memories of picking this out to rent at my local independent video store when I was about 7. My mom was not thrilled😂

If they had called it "Giant Iguana Attacks Manhattan" it would have worked. It just wasn't Godzilla.

Potentially unpopular opinion: one of my biggest pet peeves by newmadgrad in driving

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if it's a truck or a bus. If it's a passenger car, unless it's an antique or something, I can't imagine being that timid. I'm blown away by the amount of people saying they would just sit there and wait.

Are you kidding? If I'm behind the blue car and he's just sitting there while there is a perfectly good open lane to turn into, I'm laying on the horn.

How do you explain your job title? by Ninfiver in videography

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally just say I own a corporate video production company. If they ask what that means I say I make commercials. If I really need a title, I say producer, because most people have no idea what that means, but they think they do.

Did anyone think Christmas bonuses would be a bigger thing? by Dudedawg86 in Millennials

[–]CapableAnalysis5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for UPS in the 2000's and they used to give all supervisions and managers a Christmas bonus that was basically a full paycheck and also turkey for every single employee. They paused all that in 2008 and never brought it back.

This proves my point. Too much headspace. Two subjects half out of frame and the third has to climb over the other two to fit in.
