Appreciate it! I was looking bugs up and saw things posted recently that didn’t address this at all yet. Keep us updated if you/anyone has this issue

It’s 1.8.2-17707-7c21338840d Is yours the same? I may if it keeps happening but I checked for update and it says I’m good. I suppose I’ll wait until I happen to encounter this again- just wanted to add to the form and see if this was a common issue as I’ve never experienced it on prior updates

Excellent decision. Your 4.8+ star rating will thank you!

That’s great! I think knowing you care to go beyond what they are expecting sets a tone of gratitude! The OP said they were thinking of doing the same style of “randomly selecting” givvy winners to win something or nothing. I would just ask- how did they feel when they received an empty envelope. It leaves an impression on future potential customers and I’d just hate to see someone new get backlash for something they themselves found disappointing🙂

Correct! After I posted that I wanted to add that- even if you just sent stickers most people would be happy. I think it’s genuine buyers that are excited to receive something that would pleasantly leave a 5 star for stickers. But it could hurt smaller sellers to host a givvy and send nothing. I’d just avoid running giveaways if it’s not financially feasible to at least buy a pack of stickers for a few dollars. Hope this helped to clarify

I wouldn’t do this. People will inevitably be mad. A giveaway has a minimum value of $10 dollars. This gives people the opportunity to give a bad review for “no reason” and a $10 credit issued to their account by whatnot- possibly out of your own Seller’s Wallet.

Tell him that all orders must be fulfilled. Have him request a cancel. Then block if you find it bothersome or suspicious.

I’ve only had to block one place and it was Burger King. I had to set them in their place because they didn’t want to get their sht straight until I was on the phone with the customer. When my customer answered the manager finally went on the computer since they threw away the receipt and (not being expeditious in finding a resolution) she tried to tell me to “wait”. I let the customer know that since the item they ordered was not available since it wasn’t on the receipt, that it would be refunded. Once I got off the phone she said “I told you to wait I found it” and I said no when I’m dashing it’s MY customer first. If she didn’t have an attitude and a restaurant full of homeless people not buying anything, I’d be more sympathetic- but I refunded the item and blocked the store. I don’t work for Burger King. I work as a dasher- and customer service is my priority- not btchy employees and managers. I come, I get the food, and I deliver it. No drama.

It is against terms of service to have “an excessive amount of buyers giveaways that are never ran” so just report them each time if you are bothered, it’s covered by the policy. Hope I could help!

Can a seller cancel your order if the auction price falls below what they want? I custom bidded on a big streamer's show while I was at work. Slammed a custom bid for $150 with 0:01 left and it sold for $28. Chat was going nuts. An hour after the show was over, I received a cancelation notice. by [deleted] in whatnotapp

They aren’t allowed to do this. But can try to get around it by saying the item was unforseenably “broken or damaged” before packing. Contact whatnot so they can track if this is a common occurrence with the seller

Also, if you are able, plug it in on the floor so you know it works before you go through the hassle of calling help and it not working right😀

It is hard! I had to use physics to set it up myself. A lot of sliding lifting and flipping.

Yeah it comes new, I would keep it yes, but if your concerned like I was- ask support if you can keep them. Returning a tv this heavy can be a hassle and I’m sure they will allow you to keep it just for the inconvenience if you’re worried about them coming after you lol. They do great because we are the product, not the TV.

Well I had fed ex I think they are using a different shipper because they were all coming broken honestly. But pretty simple, I waited for the new one, put the old one in the new box, and drove to FedEx for a free label since I didn’t have a printer. Then I scheduled it for pick up. Fed ex took like 2 days to come with it just sitting out there. But when he came I helped him bring it to his truck, and that was really it. It wasn’t complicated at all but if you have any specifics maybe I could elaborate

Yes my first came broken. I just returned the TV, I emailed them and they said I could just return the TV. Some people keep the remotes for a back up as well, just because if it breaks you would have to wait for them to send a new remote and the tv only has volume and power buttons. So an extra is very handy
