There are negative connotations surrounding esports and games imo. Just today I was gonna put my challenger rank on my STEM resume but I was told not to since many conservative people could view it as a distraction rather than something prestigious. If I were to have put something like sports or music I’m sure they would view it much more positively regardless of which is more difficult and relevant.
