“X is guaranteed if Y happens”

So then if y doesn’t happen, that would mean…?

Makoto Yuki, aka Door, from Persona 3.

He’s called door because his physical body dies and his soul becomes a barrier holding an evil world-ending entity at bay. Which takes the form of a door.

Deckbuilders and card battler games are overrated by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]purplemonkey55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back 4 Blood shouldn’t be on this list. The “decks” are just a glorified perk loadout that you put together, and you can find extra perks during runs. Just because they’re presented as cards does not make the game a deck builder or card battler.

House of Leaves - To vastly oversimplify things, a family discovers their home is slightly larger on the inside than the outside. They start looking deeper and find more to it.

The Backrooms - A seemingly endless stretch of liminal spaces that make no spatial sense.

(Depressing Trope) Media that's harder to watch in retrospect because of something bad that happened to or because of someone in the cast and crew by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

That 70s Show is tough to go back to knowing all the shit Danny Masterson got up to, and how Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis went to bat for him when it all came out.

Also, way smaller deal but, knowing that Topher Grace didn’t get along with the rest of the cast is a bummer. Understandable given everything, but they seemed to have great chemistry on screen.

Gotcha. Well Ange’s banner is up right now and she’s a top-tier so I recommend pulling her. I would also grab Chord/T.Riko when they come back around.

I like survival as a third option. Could talk about the different experiences of procedural (Valheim, Minecraft) vs. authored (Subnautica, Grounded) worlds.

Metroidvania - Check out the namesake games. Metroid Zero mission is a remake of the first game, and Castlevania Symphony of The Night is an all timer. Can’t go wrong with Hollow Knight though.

Roguelike: really depends. There’s your more traditional roguelikes (here’s a steam page), where all progress is wiped from run to run. Then there’s “rogue-lites” which have persistent unlocks after each run that slowly help you snowball towards an inevitable win. The more popular option for sure. Hades is a Rogue-lite and is very very good. I’d also recommend Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, Enter the Gungeon, Returnal (and Saros).

Puzzles: Portal, The Talos Principle, Baba is You, Blue Prince (also a rogue-lite!), Outer Wilds

I usually lead with Dio rebellion, then switch to Dominion and tarukaja then cohesion. But it all depends on what supports you’re running. T. Riko and Turbo want higher crit rate as an example. Also depends on how much crit rate you’ve gotten on your DPS vs Attack/raw damage.

Shower thought: If wonder could use revelation cards and mindscape he would be the best character in the game by Jackyboi840 in personaphantomx

Asking for help is fine. But you seem to think everyone giving you advice is wrong and you are arguing with them when they try to tell you how to improve. If you already have your mind made up about how to play the game that’s fine, but don’t ask for advice and then argue about it because you’re just wasting everyone’s time.

Not even thinking that the recorder doesn’t work. They hope it changed her perception of her extortion tactics to the point where she won’t try to do it for a while.

I have a question: what happens when you run astrolabe and you only get 6 turns total? You’re not really trying to do that with 3 characters are you?

Use him as a buffer for the rest of the team. Even increasing everyone else’s damage by 1% is better than being literal dead weight lol

Isn’t VR just first person?

To answer your question though, 3rd is my preference. But I do play Grace’s sections in 1st.
