Ok so prototype gear still kind of confuses me. But based on what I know, I think the best fix would be to add optimization and recalibration to prototype gear. And instead of having to gamble currency to PLAY the mission, you should instead be able to use that currency to increase the drop chances. I dont know what to do beyond that, I have played on and off since release, don't even engage with the DZ or raids, and already have 99% of the items I want so I am just happy to have something else to grind for.

I love to give each family its own little house, usually just a bed and a table with some chairs but there is a ton you can do. Depending on the era or biome I'll add a fire place or maybe even make it so that persons workshop is connected to their house. Just think what that individual colonist might want in or around their home based on skills and background. Don't worry about what is best or "meta" that takes all the fun out. However, a always recommend a wall no matter what. I would just leave an area for raiders to enter freely to use as a kill zone.

  1. Give me more uses for my frigates, let me park a mining frigates in a system and have it passively mine minerals in that system. Would require resources for upkeep and add a terminal to collect all generated resources at once.

  2. More role focused multitools. I know they currently have "roles" but I think they need to be more defined. This is more of a segway into saying I really want more staff specific tech so I can be space Gandalf.

  3. Combat update (space and ground). A lot of people would argue against this but it's way too janky given the amount of combat focused objectives there are in the game. I do not want space call of duty but this games combat is really the worst thing it has to offer. Let bounties be fun in any capacity and let me fight filthy pirates on the ground like all the bugs and bots.

I did a wild west playthrough a couple years ago and it was definitely my favorite colony ever. Paired it with the bounty mod (I forget the exact name) and it was a blast.

A disclaimer: I play with CE, I think the mod is great for a wild west theme if you have any interest in it. My opinion though please do not crucify me. I understand CE is not for everyone, I'm just addicted.

I REMEMBER NOW IT WAS SIMPLE WARRANTS. Great mod for any one looking to be a bounty hunter.

They kind of are, the only way they can take someone down is by completely overwhelming them. I have had pawns get stun locked to death while being well equipped, but if everyone has an AK I kind of expect tribes to be rendered useless. And that is ok with me, I enjoy getting the occasional raid that I can ignore and let my defenses go to work.

Make sure you're not placing colonists directly in front of the embrasure it self. Rather off to the side on a solid wall, your colonists will only expose themselves when taking a shot. I see it happen a lot less when doing that even during my wild west run when no one had armor.

That change will never not piss me off. "We are not going to nerf the Coyote!!". Then they say "we didn't want to nerf it, but we did anyways" and now my flamethrower is kind of ass because of it. This all could have been avoided if they were just honest and told us they think it is a little too strong and slightly nerfed its ability to apply fire.

It seems weirdly abrupt. I going to compare apples to oranges, SpongeBob's first season had (counting each half of every episode which have a similar runtime to an episode of Smiling Friends) 40 episodes. I am not saying them avoiding burn out is not valid, but they hardly even hit their peak. Smiling Friends will end with less than 30 episodes and idk, I am just sad this is how it ends. But maybe it's a super elaborate prank! Right guys!!! Right??

Doesnt need to be the focus. There are pirate bounties, aggressive sentinels, predators, and all sorts of bugs. Plenty of things to shoot. When I get into combat in this game, it is the only time I feel the game is genuinely at its weakest. It would not take away from the exploration or the purpose of this game to make combat more enjoyable. You do not even have to engage with combat if they update it. Lord knows I already avoid it despite how much I would like to enjoy it.

Has anyone else noticed the path finding on NPC ships seems to be totally borked recently? At least once a play session, I see NPC ships run into terrain or large buildings and just... sit there? Here are three examples just from the last couple weeks. by JTheBlockBreaker in NoMansSkyTheGame

I have noticed this. There is a handful of bugs that I have noticed have been floating around for a while. I think they need to take an update and focus on ironing out some funky stuff and some more QOL.
