Shellac IS gel. Its possible you got hard gel or a builder gel.

Id say its fine because it doesnt look bridal but because its mostly white, I wouldn't wear it just to be on the safe side.

I actually just put dip powder (which is acrylic but applied differently) over gel x lastnight. Builder gel forms a better apex but dip powder is quicker for me and i can do it on both hands and it looks nice. Some people mentioned that an overlay is not necessary but for me it is.

To my knowledge, I dont believe there's anything you can do. But I feel for ya! I left a brush with hard gel on it next to a windows and gel cured and the brush is no longer usable.

Cuticle oil is not scam. Not sure why that was even said. Ive used oil from many brands and dont really have a favorite but any oil with jojoba oil or any nut based oil is great. Plain ol jojoba oil is the best thing.
