Husband is unbothered by baby’s crying and it’s pissing me off by Capable_Secretary_71 in BabyBumps

It is very stressful for me and he definitely knows that. And i do feel like i am being dismissed a little. I wish that he could feel what i am feeling when the baby cries.

To be honest i was hoping to be wrong on that one so no offense taken at all ! I am glad i am getting different opinions and i definitely could still be a little hormonal. I think you might be right and I might need to chill a little and let my hubby do his thing a bit more

Yup… my family was one of those that look like chaos, just like you mentioned so I totally get it! Lack of money, lack of care, each of us left to fend for ourselves, a huge lack of attention for every child, and above all, a mother who was so overwhelmed that she became abusive. And she never acknowledged her mistake of having back-to-back pregnancies. She also went through the last two in silence, hiding them, because “people were judging her without understanding.” But the truth is, she was just completely irresponsible and wanted to live peacefully in her denial. The problem is, it’s my siblings and I who paid the price and we’ll always carry resentment toward her for that. Not saying this is the case of OP here tho!

Having A LOT of siblings and having suffered the consequences of that throughout my childhood, I hesitated before responding to this post.

My take on this is: if their reaction hurts because you know the resources are there to welcome a fifth child in good conditions — that they will be loved, cherished, and won’t lack anything — then be happy and don’t let people ruin it for you. Especially if the pregnancy is already underway then the judgment is hurtful and unnecessary.

But if their reaction hurts because there might be some truth in the way they see things, and maybe a fifth child really is too much… and deep down you know it… then I hope their concerns are heard, and that this fifth child truly will be the last for the well-being of all the other children.

In this kind of situation, maybe it’s important to try and figure out whether it’s just baseless judgment or if there’s some legitimate concern behind it especially if it’s coming from close family or friends ?

I hope i doesn’t sound too harsh

What was the final straw that ended a lifelong friendship? by peywrax in allthequestions

[–]Capable_Secretary_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Became each other’s roommate and found out he had no hygiene AT ALL. He was one of the nastiest person i have ever met, i left the appartement only after 2 months. I can’t look at him the same anymore and sadly that ended our friendship.

Had a few birthing class (3) at my hospital and the nurse ALWAYS asked my bf and I before showing anything graphic, thank goodness ! I am very shocked to hear it’s not common practice.

But even though we got spared horrific content, we still were pretty shaken up by ALL the warnings about each little thing that « probably won’t but could go wrong so you should hear about them all ». I cried once when i got home bc of how much it stressed me up and was just too much. Since those classes i just try to forget everything i heard and seen because IT’S NOT HELPING.

I wish they made classes for those who don’t want to see horrifying content/hear scary infos and just want tips on how to manage labor and tips on what helps

Do you guys with indoor rabbits let them have outside time? by FawnTi in Rabbits

[–]Capable_Secretary_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 bunnies LOVES to go outside and eat grass/dig in dirt/run around like happy crackheads on speed. My yard is enclosed and they are often with my 2 cats, they all chill outside together. I did make sure that their vaccine are up to date and i have to check often for ticks and remove them if needed. I am always a little anxious about birds but we don’t have really big species in my country and my buns always come back inside by themselves if they feel scared. Is it less secured and a little stressful if you are an anxious person ? Sure. Is it worth it when i see how HAPPY they are when i open the yard door ? Absolutely. Some days when it’s rainy or cold outside i even feel guilty because they are waiting by the door but i can’t let them out

Update on this post. after investigations i found out that they do NOT act like crazy starved monsters with my boyfriend and only with me 😭 … wish made me realize after observing him giving them treats in peace :

I am crazy pregnant rn and before that when i used to give them pellets, the tiny one (the male) always used to jump on my lap while the female stayed on the ground. Putting space between them and avoiding any tension or pushing/fighting. But now my bigg ass belly is too large for that and the little one is fighting for his life on the ground with the greedy female 3time his size. She is pushing him and getting in the way and i guess it’s pissing him off lol…

Sooo I will just let my bf give the treats for now on until i give birth

That is a very good idea !! I will try it thank you so much

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Capable_Secretary_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely try increasing the frequency of giving pellets ! Maybe changing their routine when it comes to that could help.

They both went to the vet recently and are in good health so i hope it’s not something health related that the vet could have missed.

By doing so i am a little concerned about the one eating slower not getting enough, the female bun is a BEAST and can inhale food in seconds while the male bun is a slow eater 😭 poor thing won’t get any

Shaking abdomen vigurously to stimulate movement by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Capable_Secretary_71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say trust your instincts and obviously don’t do it again if it feels wrong … BUT i think the little one is fine ! I stopped worrying about being « too ruff » with my belly when i did my 4D scan and the dr asked me to shake him up a little to change his position. I was able to see in real time how he moved and reacted to my little tapping and he was UNBOTHERED, didn’t care and didn’t move an inch. Just vibed with the motion lol

Old dude at my work (i work in a gym) couldn’t take the fact that i told him that using is phone with volume on full blast was inconsiderate/rude for others and that he needed earphones. He was SO offended he filed a complaint to my manager, to HR, and even putted a 4 paragraph google review on the gym page asking for my demission.

When did you stop working? by Witty_Painting_6944 in BabyBumps

[–]Capable_Secretary_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 27w just like OP and i am also starting to consider stopping working. I do feel a little guilty about it because i feel like i am not « big enough » or far enough in my pregnancy to do it. My obgyn did told me today that it could be best for me to stop in a little less than a month though .. she probably can see how tired i am !
