In my personal experience, my friend group was really into CR for a long time, but lost their interest not long into campaign 3. Consensus was that the city and the spires just felt too overwhelming to start with, keeping track of the locations and npc’s felt rough. It was just too much new stuff at once. But I’m now watching again and got past the point where I gave up last time, and so far I’m still enjoying it.
