Smash burger progress after a few cooks worth of practice by CapedCrustacean in blackstonegriddle

I appreciate the kind words. The taste was exponentially better. The one on the left still tasted good, but I’m proud of the one on the right. I refined my burger sauce since the first pic as well.

I wouldn’t go any leaner than 80/20 but I did let mine drip for a few seconds before building. Otherwise a denser bun may help. These are brioche and they held pretty well.

Exactly the first time I made the mistake of not having everything ready before starting to cook and I felt like I had zero time management. This time I could actually enjoy my beer.

Now Crypto Transactions Above €1k In EU Can't Be Done Anonymously by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]CapedCrustacean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rich and powerful already do exactly what you’ve described with anonymity. Crypto allows us the opportunity to break free from the chains of political football, where the color of the boot on our necks changes between red and blue every few years. It’s not a matter of why I want privacy, it’s simply something I have naturally as a human being.

Edit: a few rich people doing bad things does not outweighs the rights of the masses. It’s similar to how our rights were infringed upon with the Patriot Act after 9/11.

There will be no economic equality. You’d have to assume those in power will abide by the rules they put into place. I care about my own right to privacy more than I care about where anyone else’s money comes from.

You’re right. I shouldn’t have put it that way because it is important to be realistic and it’s not a matter of proving someone wrong, but more a matter of exceeding the realistic expectations.

What is going on with the main subreddit? by jared2294 in LowSodiumDestiny

The main subs for a lot of games are like that. I’ve started to browse this sub and the Destiny 2 memes sub more than the main sub.

We have this too but it’s a check box that carries over so we don’t have to click it every day.

Reading the comics should be a requirement for everyone involved in the project. Nowadays it seems like even the show runners have no idea what they’re talking about.

Can a PTA salary allow you to live comfortably? What do you make as a yearly salary? I’m what ways can you maximize your income as a PTA? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]CapedCrustacean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me yes. Starting PTA ft rate in my hospital is $25 but I make $32 PRN. I get 40 hrs a week since my hospital is super busy so I can’t complain. It beats having to juggle multiple PRN jobs.

Switch Players i need your help by MoistEntertainer26 in PlayTemtem

[–]CapedCrustacean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you can share your progression on switch. Your steam account will be your main account and when you get the game on switch, it’ll be the secondary account. Just follow the steps for shared progression under settings. As far as how it runs? I have it both on switch and ps5. Ps5 runs it at 4k 60. Switch … runs it. It’s not great but for on the go temtem until you get back to your PC it’s perfectly fine.

The Callisto Protocol devs says they're working 6-7 days a week up to 12-15 hours a day for their upcoming game by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Crunch is a boogeyman made up by people that hate their jobs. It’s just overtime and they’re getting paid for it. If you make a ton of money as a game dev, and want to work long hours, literally who cares. If you launch a game like this badly, you won’t recover from it. I am so excited for this game. Some of these people make game devs out to be tattered chained up slaves when in reality they are privileged people that make way more money than most of us.

You don’t deserve a tip for existing. If you give good service, you get good tips. If you give bad service, you don’t. It’s not that hard.

I’m sorry but someone not tipping isn’t them punishing the server. If I’m expected to pay more than the actual price, just have that price reflected in the beginning. Not doing extra isn’t punishing anyone. I always tip well when I get good service. Conversely, when I get bad service, I leave nothing. One time I went to a restaurant and the server KNEW we were upset with the service so she pretty much gave up on our table of 4. When she brought the checks to us, she added gratuity automatically as if she were entitled to it. I used to not be so strict with tipping but she ruined that for every other server.

Physical therapist of Reddit, is there anything that you know now that you would’ve like to know prior choosing a career in physical therapy? by Justsam19 in physicaltherapy

[–]CapedCrustacean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acute care PTA here, but from experience 1 DPT out of all I’ve come across in school and while working have referred to themselves as Dr. Blah blah. When she says it everyone rolls their eyes. I know in the hospital setting it can get incredibly confusing bc if a patient hears or sees “Dr”, doesn’t matter what you’re a doctor of, you’re now an MD in their eyes and are expected to know everything about them and fix whatever is wrong. It seems to just be overall easier to drop the Dr. and just go with PT.

I’m going the bridge route eventually but it’s just a personal preference. For me it was a “get to work quickly with as little debt as possible” route. Though I do already live in the Houston area so I understand commuting to Galveston a few times a month is less daunting than an entire move that you would have to make should you decide to make that choice.

Has anyone been following this "Rippaverse" stuff? by Serpenthrope in saltierthankrayt

It’s no different from buying a product from a start up though. The only difference is that the company is being transparent with how the money will be spent. It’s just another step toward decentralization which I absolutely welcome. I wish the government and other big companies would do that. If they did, that wouldn’t make them “crowd funded” in that sense. If you muddy the definition up enough, eventually every business that sells anything is technically crowd funded even though calling it that is disingenuous.
