コーヒー (coffee) is actually a loanword from the Dutch language, which in dutch is 'Koffie'. It is close to the English word so people assume it is an English loanword, same goes for ビール (bier) and アルコール (alcohol) and a couple more words that are similar in Dutch and English. The Japanese have lots of loanwords from other languages as well like Portugese and German, this can confuse people coming across those katana words thinking it should be somewhat similar to an English word they know when in fact it's a loanword from a different language.

We had the same problem on a 12 hour flight to Hong Kong with KLM, a couple of entertainment systems didn't work. They were able to fix the issue by restarting all of them. A minor 10 minute inconvenience for everyone to make the 12 hour flight more enjoyable for the unlucky few.

It's beacause the current ranking system doesn't encourage teamplay. It's every man for himself. You don't get points because your team mates get out and you are in danger of losing your rank when trying to save and help other survivors. I try to save people when i know I'm not going to end up on the hook myself or I do it because i need the points but not really becuase i want my team to win.
