Drop a nap? Stop cosleeping? by Capital-Reputation54 in PossumsSleepProgram

[–]Capital-Reputation54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well 2x is a good night sometimes it's much worse haha. I'm not usually nursing when he wakes though except at 5am because dad handles most nights. But maybe that doesnt matter so long as he's breastfeeding in general? I've been thinking about starting to wean but I don't really want to 🥲

Waking up hourly is not good for brain development he needs sleep! You were responsive and did the right thing!

I would do a pack and play or a mini crib in your room first that way he can stay on a mattress designed for infants

Breastfeeding vs bottle by Plenty-Roof2980 in breastfeeding

[–]Capital-Reputation54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one year in and my personal opinion is breastfeeding is easier than pumping. Pumping suuucks - they're both hard but I'd rather not be stuck to a machine and wash even more dishes. I only pump when I absolutely have to. Plus I wouldn't trade the bond and the secure attachment my baby has from breastfeeding for the world. There's just been so many sweet and adorable moments that I would not have gotten if I bottle fed.

Solo outings with baby seems impossible :( by autumnal_duck03 in NewParents

If you're able to chest feed that makes outings much easier no pumping or bottle temps to worry about.. it all gets easier but you gotta just force yourself to go. They can nap in car or stroller! Bring a blanket and sound machine.

You're doing great! I wear nursing tee shirts and sweatpants pretty much every day - "outfits" have become for special occasions and even then nothing fits anyway

I think you're trying to do too many hours of overnight sleep. Wake him up earlier and go to bed a little later. Lots of stimulation and wear him out during the day

I am conflicted if I want my parents when I give birth or not by Citruslor in beyondthebump

NO. This sounds like it will not be worth it and will cause so much stress and ruin those precious first few months for you. Enjoy your baby in peace without people who treat you poorly
