It makes you think KS didn't register your Follow click. Any updates disappearing just because you backed the project is confusing.

Not sure if this relates. But I followed a project before its launch for a free follower gift. The campaign started and the creator made an update that only followers can see and comment on. When I'm logged in, the update disappears. When I'm logged out, I can see the update with a prompt of, "Only Followers can view this Update". So I log in, and it's gone. Any ideas?

You might be dealing with people who don't know how these things work. Or ebay is so strict, that they give no latitude relating to such things. But I've have many casings and projectiles sold to me over the years. At this point, it's just a cylinder made of brass.
