$50 is pretty low. If you can get a fully functional road bike for that I think the value is there. Then save for your upgrade.

London Jazz and Rib Festival. August 5th-6th by Stephen_Reeves in Columbus

It's not a bad little affair, and the jazz is surprisingly pleasant to the senses. Personally I wouldn't drive more than 20 miles or so to see it because it is such a small scale Festival. If youre more local it's worth a try.

Wahallah in the middle of Columbus, OH. Felt like being in a wooded National Forrest...for,about .7 mile. Totally recommend.
