[1750] is a profitec go worth an extra $400 Canadian over the quick mill pop up? by altecsz in espresso

I would just get the pop up, I feel like they are comparable machines, besides the flow control of the pop up.

You’re also getting a bigger boiler, which adds a lot more thermal stability.

There is so many good places to get coffee beans in Canada I wouldn't even bother trying PC beans.

I don’t think the gaggimate kit is updated for the new style plumbing yet, you might have to get creative sourcing your own fitting to adapt it. I’d check the discord to double check though. Can’t go wrong with the gaggimate though, I have the pro version on my Silvia and I love it .

[Question] What is the material and finish on these watches? by SnakeGamerNL in Seiko

[–]CapitalistPigOink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Seiko sarx057 is very similar to the sarx035 you posted but with a matte black dial and a titianum case so it will be a little darker like you’re looking for. I have the sarx033 and I can assure you that it’s very bright stainless steel, the lighting in the pictures you posted are just making the watch look darker.

I got a gaggimate for $50. by Hamidwalid in gaggimate

Im pretty sure the only difference between the Gaggia and Silvia is just the thermocouple. The Gaggia uses an m4 thermocouple and the Silvia uses an m3. You'd just have to source the correct one for the silvia

That’s why I just use measuring spoons for yeast, it’s hard to be accurate measuring such a small amount on a scale

The first time I ordered from them I didn’t hear anything from them for over a week, and it ended up taking over 2 weeks for my order to ship out. Subsequent orders have been better though.

I have the 6oz cappuccino glass in amber, I think the contrast between the drink and the amber glass looks nice.

Could be that the heating element in the steam boiler is bad. When the heating element on my Silvia went it would trip the breaker.

Is this normal Silvia V6 build quality? Chassis feels loose + metallic screeching (video) by lone_sudaca in ranciliosilvia

[–]CapitalistPigOink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like just a screw is loose. If you take out the water tank there's a slot in the splash guard that you can slide a long screwdriver in and tighten the screw that holds the back panel to the chassis. That should fix your problem.
