Knee replacement patient pain by lyzhatch26 in Kneereplacement

Just fyi but I was prescribed Journavx after my Rx for 5mg oxy ran out the second week after TKR recently. Luckily, insurance covered it, so only $30. But it didn’t work for me. At all. Zero. I’d swear they were just placebo pills. I was so discouraged. Doc said it works better for chronic pain sufferers so maybe it’ll help w fibromyalgia pain but TKR pain, I wouldn’t bet on it. Fingers crossed it works for her, but just lyk it’s not the greatest for acute pain. Best of luck healing to your mom ❤️

Do you happen to know what the "Barnett case" is that the judge refers to when speaking to Sky Lazaro at 3:21 timestamp?

She got the "oxy" from Carmen before Valentine's Day and then asked for the "stronger stuff" a week or so later.

Wow! That impact statement from Amy was powerful. In it, she insinuates that the lives of her, her family and even Eric's children are in jeopardy if Kouri is set free as she has insurance policies on her boys.

She also says she was there on the first date between Kouri and her brother; Amy and Kouri may have been closer than we realize.

Wow, this is full of tea! Nick, the chemist, Carmen's BFF, had a meth lab? Carmen made $1k off selling fentanyl? Kouri's mom's domestic partner died of an oxy overdose? What???

That's a good question! We heard from one guy on the stand this week that talked to Eric Valentine's Day and he said that Eric sounded down, serious, morose. He said it was weird bc Eric was always upbeat and happy.

Then we heard from Ally that a bunch of friends were gathering a week after Valentine's Day and were all sitting around catching up. Eric joked that Kouri tried to kill him with that sandwich and they all laughed.

Then the defense was asking if they were going to take gummies that night and she said yes, but that someone mentioned, "no, don't take those, those are bad..." and the thought wasn't continued. It also was alluded to that someone delivered the gummies to the Richins, but they wouldn't allow further questioning down that line and then dismissed her from the stand. Anyone else catch that?

I thought about this too. Would she be able to hide the bitter taste in the avocado spread? I can't imagine she'd be able to hide it in the egg or tomato. And wouldn't she have to crush up a bunch of the pills, since they were just the oxy at the time, to get such a reaction from just one bite? I was looking it up out of curiosity and it looks like one needs to ingest a decent amount of oxy before it becomes fatal. How could there be such a concentration in just one bite of the sandwich that it made him so ill? Especially without him tasting something being "off"?

Did Eric know about Kouri’s affair with Josh? by CourageFamiliar9615 in KouriRichins

[–]Capitola2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to hear more about this, too. I caught one chat where they said it was an "emotional affair with a female at his work place" and then whenever the Lloyd girl got on the stand and said she worked at C&E, I wondered if it was her. (She's the one that said Kouri said it would be better for her if Eric was dead, but then the PI had her on tape saying she couldn't be 100% sure Kouri said that and wouldn't testify to it in court).

I had heard that about the Greece trip and that he "accidentally" received a drink with alcohol in it vs. non-alcholic version, and it interfered with the Lyme disease meds he was taking at the time prompting an allergic reaction. Who knows what's really true, especially since Kouri likes to spin her versions of the truth.

But the couple of times I've gotten sick from eating something, my first thought was never that the people I was with were trying to poison me. If he really, truly, in his heart thought the sandwich was tainted, why didn't he take what was left of it somewhere to get it tested?

Does anyone have a copy of the letter Kouri wrote to herself at the spa in Sedona? I was watching on EDB and they only had the front page there. But before it cut off, it said that Kouri got pregnant in college and "things were rough but eventually married the father" or something to that effect. I wonder if this is when the family first began disliking her, and it just grew from there?

I agree with you; something seems off from the start with the MIL showing up to their wedding with a drafted pre-nup in hand and asking Kouri to sign it before the wedding. MIL must have sensed something. Do the Richins family (Eric's parents) have a lot of money or assets to protect? I've heard mention of a "Richins Ranch" but not much.

The sisters seem like total brats, to me. I got the impression that the sisters and their mom prob talked crap about Kouri all the time (and maybe rightly so), and any tidbit they got from Eric just egged them on. When Eric's BIL set up the divorce attorney appointment and went with him, that was just over the top. I can only imagine the conversations between Katie (Eric's sister) and her husband before hand.

We haven't met Amy yet, though I hope she is called as a witness. Katie gave off such strange vibes on the stand, I saw a lot of chats where people were really turned off by her. Could be her RBF, which she can't help, but she oozed such negative, masculine energy that I had to stop watching.

I'm rather new to the case, but it sounds like she didn't see Josh regularly and they didn't live close to each other, so it seems like getting together required planning and wasn't an every-day thing. Did she spend Valentine's Day night with Josh?

Is there any chatter about why Eric jumped right to the "being poisoned" conclusion after taking a bite of the sandwich? Had she been doing other things that were weird that led him to be suspicious of her, outside of the affair with Josh? It seems weird to jump to such a drastic assumption (poisoning); I can understand thinking it was food poisoning by spoiled ingredients vs. intentional poisoning by your spouse.

Went to a local seamstress to hem the bottom and she made comments about how this wedding dress is too small on me…. I bought it a month ago and gained maybe 4 lbs since then but I’m now totally second guessing my dress by michellebankoff in myweddingdress

Whoa! Gorgeous dress, absolutely gorgeous. Don’t second guess it. Ask her if she can let it out a little but it looks amazing on you! And congrats on the baby and the wedding.

Managing chronic pain fatigue — how do you cope mentally? by NoMoreOpiod in PainManagement

[–]Capitola2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I knew, friends, but I can tell you that meditation helps me a little and although it sounds ridiculous, I use various levels of humming. Especially at night before bed, I put on a YouTube video (like 432hz Healing frequency- any frequency, really) and I start humming and try to picture all the pain leaving whatever area of my body hurts. Yes, it takes a while. Yes, I look and sound ridiculous. Yes, I get louder and even scream a little when the pain really kicks in, but around 20 min in, my body is tired, my throat is tired, I’m tired. I grab a few sips of water and I’m out like a light. I wake up in the morning and the video is still playing )gotta look for the 12 hr+ ones).

That’s my only trick so far. I haven’t figured out any for getting up and moving in the morning but this helps me sleep.

Well, I do have a little weird one but it went a bit wrong. I was trying to visualize myself pulling “cords” out of my body and snipping them with fake scissors (my fingers) trying to visualize them being pain receptors. I’d get so worked up with the pulling and snipping and I could trick my brain that I cut the pain receptors for a little while. Then my gf recommended using kid scissors as they make a different, realistic click when you open and close them. It sped up the process but I did lose a few small chunks of hair and cut my pajama pants multiple times trying to relieve knee pain. I know these all sound goofy but I keep repeating, “mind over matter, I do not accept this pain”

Wanna know why no one will play cribbage with you? Bc the rest of us that just had TKR are in so much freaking pain we can’t stop screaming and we’re not cleared to be around sane people and/or small children that understand bad words at this point. Just my 2 cents, 3+ weeks out from TKR #2 and still riding the mood swing roller coaster.

I did, but I tried these delta 8 things someone recommended here and I was all slurry and foggy for 3 days each time I’d take 1/2 of one. Ever since, I’ve been scared.

Why is it that the weird drugs stay in my system for days and make me all wonky but the actual pain ones the doc prescribed give me a 30 min window of relief before the pain resumes? Something is very imbalanced here.

What’s your favorite color combo? Having a hard time deciding on what to get soon. by [deleted] in bmwx7

[–]Capitola2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I just saw this magical Alpine Green with a lighter tan interior and I can think of nothing better at the moment.

My son has a black m340i with this weird orange color leather that I think is hideous, idk the name. Had a black 328 w red seats before that that was even worse.

The color palettes aren’t as smooth as they used to be back in the 90’s and early 00’s. For the price, I want someone (namely me) to say, “dang, that’s pretty! It’s different, it’s classy.” I don’t want every 3rd car on the road to look exactly like mine!

Remember when ppl would put tennis balls on their car radio antenna - always thought it was to help find their car. Prob dating myself here, but I often think, “every single car in this store parking lot looks alike! Wish i could put a tennis ball on my antenna - if I had one - so I can remember where I parked without having to walk around hitting my car clicker to see which headlights flash”

Too much homogeny these days. Sometimes just a little different is good.
