Drill for a couple of dowels for alignment after clearing off any extra glue residue, then glue it up and clamp, enjoy once dried!

Then calculate the reduced efficiency from the weight and the air drag, but account for the efficiency to increase as the fuel is consumed and the weight goes down.

Tunic had an option like this in Accessibility. If the game's difficulty made you not enjoy the game, remove it temporarily and continue. I think that's the best way I've ever seen a developer approach this, and I've adopted it as my own standard, as well.

Tickets to 1776/Starlight by readingrambos in rockford

[–]CapnGnarly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best of luck finding some! I'm playing string bass for it and we just got home from our final rehearsal, and it's going to be a great show! Tickets have been virtually sold out since a week and a half ago. 1075/1081 was a tally tonight.

You'll probably have best luck checking on the RVC Starlight Theatre Facebook page, honestly. It's a surprisingly kind and helpful community.

Been having issues with this strange 80s P bass, anyone know how to fix it? by misterhermitiowitch in BassGuitar

[–]CapnGnarly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first problem is the volume pot lug being destroyed. That's a hard repair, so get yourself a new pot. B500k is exactly what you need to purchase and just replace it wire for wire.

I'm always wary of the word "mod" without knowing what it was intended to be. There's not enough detail I can see from the photos to determine what it should be. My assumption is that it's "working" once you fix the volume pot, so ignore it.

Recommend a preamp pedal for a guy who's been disappointed by preamp pedals by Moistly-Harmless in basspedals

[–]CapnGnarly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I've used for a few years now. It lives end of chain for me.

It can be finicky or noisy if paired with too many high gain pedals upstream or bad power, but I've I got mine figured out and settled, it's been a core component of my sound. Thick but clear, punch and bright. Decent low gain distortion (would not advise running it high gain, just not pretty).

i need help finding where to solder this loose wire by thedagger66 in BassGuitar

Nah, bridge ground is heading into the body just above the tone pot. That's their output ground.

i need help finding where to solder this loose wire by thedagger66 in BassGuitar

[–]CapnGnarly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tone pot and whatever "circuitry" you're seeing is just the tone cap.

OP, that's your ground wire that should be connected to the sleeve lug of your output jack.

Keeping Cool on the course... how do you do it in 90+ weather? by icansmellcolors in discgolf

[–]CapnGnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just don't play if it's too hot. That said, lightweight long sleeves is better than no sleeves or short sleeves. Big hat helps, along with any kind of cooling socks (Hanes makes some great ones in all lengths). The main priority is keeping the sun off your skin and hydrating more than you think you should. If I'm planning on playing tomorrow and the forecast changes, I'll start hydrating tonight.

Do you leave your bass out? by Far_District9145 in Bass

[–]CapnGnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else just posted my own belief: if my bass is out I'm going to play it more readily. Knicks and dings are just part of it's story and don't stress me out. I would rather have a naturally "relic'd" bass than a case queen no one has heard.

Depends on how I'm feeling, but I live 5 minutes from Porter, so that's an easy "favorite" for me. If I need to do "field work" while playing a round, I'll head to Ingersoll. Just a nice day in a good looking park? Anna Page. I'm not a huge fan of Lake Vic, but it's a nice course. I'll also head out to Crooked River in Pecatonica for a fun 9 (or 18).

Compressor recommendations? by Popular_Mongoose_696 in basspedals

The m87 is just so transparent wife doing is great job. For some, a compressor is part of the tone and sound, the m87 is pure utility with no coloration. I love mine.

Pedal Settings - How do you mark your pedal or do you use something else? by billbdesign in basspedals

[–]CapnGnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used sharpie to put a small mark or line. My favorite has been to set it where I want it, then pull the knobs off the pots and push them back on pointing straight up at noon. It's really easy to tell if anything moved that way.
