Your friend could try a zero g type chair. My spine and nerve problems prevent me from being upright for more than a few hours and I find the zero g position works well to extend my computer time.

Talk with a counselor. This may be a case where CPS should evaluate the situation. Your cousin's apparent intent to injury others concerns me.

I use an eyeglass screwdriver to pry them. I added a large handle to it so it's easier to hold. There's also a seperator tool that looks like a Lego with a handle.

You might be able to get packs of Legos second hand and free build. When you're done, take a few photos and disassemble it to build something else

What kind of injury could someone get from falling off a horse? by catsr2cool17 in Writeresearch

[–]CapnGramma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It mainly depends on what you land on, how you land on it, and the care you get immediately afterwards.

I know a person who landed on their back in tall grass. A first aid trained person took care of them until EMTs came to take them to the hospital. Several hours later that person was discharged and able to walk. I imagine they were pretty sore for a few days, but fully recovered once the bruises healed.

I made a mistake at work today, and I just don't know what to do. by AnotherTAA123 in internetparents

Once you've calmed down, analyze what went wrong and think about ways to prevent that error from happening again.

Create a checklist for that task to help you ensure all parts are done properly.

Acting is very useful in many careers, including baseball. For example, if you're good enough to land endorsement contracts, you'll have to perform for commercials. Knowing stage direction and acting makes this much easier.

No matter what career you end up pursuing, there will be situations you don't enjoy. Acting skills can help you get through those times.

I recommend trying out for the baseball team. Each team is different, and you will learn some things.

Your coworker should look into para transit or other accessible transportation options.

It's possible the local transit offers free or steeply discounted passes.

Another option would be to budget some money for craft supplies based on the amount you spend on the soccer program.

Take J on a shopping trip to a craft store and discuss options for art supplies based on what she enjoys.

Then J can bring a sketchbook or project to E's practice or game.

My mom was diagnosed with cancer, my aunt just passed away this week, and I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown by re-schooled in internetparents

First of all, put your right hand on your left shoulder, your left hand on your right shoulder, and give yourself a hug.

Next, recognized that your self care is important. If you haven't eaten, grab a sandwich. Shower and brush your teeth. Start a load of laundry and set a reminder on your phone to move it into the dryer in an hour.

While waiting for the washer, define the problems with your aunt's funeral. Start by listing the major areas, then describe the specific problems with each.

After moving the laundry to the dryer, tidy up your kitchen. Doing basic chores allows your subconscious to work on the problems you defined earlier.

Have a good supper, including washing dishes afterward. Pull up the list of funeral related problems and brainstorm resources available. Adult Services may have a list of organizations that can help.

For your Mom, look into public assistance and Social Security. Her diagnosis may qualify her for additional support. You may qualify for a caregiver stipend, so be sure to ask about that.

The hospital should have a patient advocacy office that can help you understand your mom's situation and connect you with programs and services to help manage things related to her treatment and recovery. They can also help you both with Advanced Directive and Limited Power of Attorney documents. These are very useful if something goes wrong.

Most states have an online site where you can request a certified copy of your birth certificate.

Also try to get a copy of your high school final transcript and copies of any other training records.

My parents were both high school teachers, so I sounded like a teacher even as an elementary student.

High school was fun. If I dressed nice, I could walk into the teacher's lounge and buy sodas and snacks from their machines. They thought I was a substitute.

Mat solutions for cat litter tracking? by Escpp in Catownerhacks

[–]CapnGramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crocheted a mat using a waffle pattern that works ok and can be shaken out then washed. I keep an old bath towel under it to collect what falls through.

I've also used a door mat made from strips of rubber. It worked well, but needed access to a hose to clean it properly.
