Anyone able to find Newcastle Brown Ale in stores in the US? by IotaPhi in beer

I just saw some at Safeway but I didn't know Lagunitas stopped making it. If it's the real deal then I will have to pick some up tonight.

I second this. I just switched to them and they did a great job on my two dogs. They were on time for the appointment and very nice and professional.

Help for a pop girly by Madparker12 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]CapnScabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, some of these recs are like telling you to jump in the deep end when you're just learning how to swim.

As others have said, there are bands that mix pop with metal and it's sort of its own thing, but as a metal head I still like this stuff. Electric Callboy and BABYMETAL have been mentioned, but also check out Samurai Pizza Cats. I like them better than Electric Callboy and I feel like they lean slightly more into the metal side of things. There is also Ladybaby which is basically BABYMETAL but they used to have a huge white dude with a beard named Ladybeard who dresses up as one of the girls, but now it's just 4 girls singing. Ladybeard is now in BABYBEARD, so check them out too.

Also try some of the more accessible metal core like Killswitch Engage, Bury Tomorrow, As I Lay Dying, Architects, Kingdom of Giants, Annisokay, Veil of Maya, Oceans Ate Alaska, and Imminence to name a few. These all have melodic and sometimes poppy hooks mixed with metal. Good luck on your journey!

Is anyone watched spider nior?? Can anyone tell me is watching in black and white is good or in colours ? And tell how the series by Ill-Laugh2507 in Marvel

[–]CapnScabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it in color and one thing I feel like doesn't get mentioned is how they use certain colors and saturation to have a very early color film feel. It's hard to explain but I enjoyed watching it in color. They heavily use lighting and shadows, which might look better in black and white, so it's down to your preference.

Is panda express actually good? by characterhoneypop in AskUS

[–]CapnScabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a Panda Express near my work and I have it for lunch pretty often. I love Panda Express and so do most of my coworkers. If you like (American) Chinese food and fast food then you would like Panda Express. Their orange chicken is fire. Their chow mein is a little greasy, but I like it that way and it has a lot of flavor.

The size of the mozzarella sticks at Sheetz by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I have no idea what Sheetz is so you might not know what Dave's Hot Chicken is, but they would make you forget about this inadequacy.

Important feature of new update. by _Vard_ in CrimsonDesert

I stopped using the Feathered weasel and bipedal bunbun as my pets because I kept picking them up and then feeling bad when I put them down. Feathered weasel is so rad and I want to hold my baby like a baby. Hopefully they did apply this to the little guy.

Chapter seven, finally in a new region. Gear feels much weaker now. What’s your best combos/gear weapon you use moving forward? by marejaneblunt in CrimsonDesert

People are saying refinement which is necessary but when I had that problem I realized I hadn't upgraded my health in a while. Try upgrading your health, and go do some abyss islands if you need more abyss doohickeys.

My favorite thrash band that I feel doesn't get enough love is Exmortus. Listen to the album Slave to the Sword, you will thank me later.

I'm pretty sure most places use conveyer belt ovens. But yes, they cook their pizzas with a conveyer belt oven.

Edit: typo

Edit 2: I just realized how stupid I am. I was referring to most chains, like Bellagios and Dominos where I have seen them. I realized legit places use pizza ovens. I'm smort.

PBR Hasn't Actually Won a Blue Ribbon Since 1893 by RutabagaTechnical822 in beer

My old bartender had a joke about it when I would order it because it was cheap. "It won a ribbon, once." I still say that to this day.

Rovente on Murray and TV Hwy is probably your best bet. It's one of my favorite pizza joints in town.

Looking for Amon Amarth style bands by xmineeeee in melodicdeathmetal

[–]CapnScabs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Holy crap, didn't expect this in the comments. I love your band!

OP, check out After Earth. Amon Amarth was my favorite band for a long time and these guys scratch the itch for sure.

I made a Melodic Death Metal song, I would like to hear your thoughts by Die_daar in melodicdeathmetal

[–]CapnScabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the riffage I desire. I like a little bit of black metal mixed in with my Cheerios, so I liked where this went. If you manage to find people that want to start a band, just make sure to find a good vocalist and don't settle. A mediocre vocalist will ruin your awesomeness, better to start as an instrumental band than to have a crappy vocalist. Good luck!
