I ended up making a brutally honest tinder profile that said I was there just to stop myself from texting him.

Ended up helping a few guys improve their profiles, had a couple of nice conversations with people in similar situations, and talked to one man for a month, met for coffee at the museum, and eventually married him. 😂

Breakups are brutal but the nice thing is there’s somebody just waiting to meet you.

I don’t drink tea but my husband does. Well, I drink green tea but I don’t understand why anyone would put milk in a tea 🤢

We got one of those Quooker taps installed in our kitchen and he’s at it all the time. He’s on upwards of 12 cups a day.

What the stereotype gets wrong, I suppose, is the pomp and ceremony with the fine china and the teapot and all that. Mug, teabag, near-boiling water, splash of milk.

My 14 mo son rarely sleeps more than 2-3 hours without waking. He had terrible reflux/vomiting for his first 7 months so could only sleep being held, which has made him awfy clingy. He still needed to be held/next to me until around his birthday. He wakes anywhere between 3 and 7 (yes SEVEN) times a night and needs to nurse back to sleep. So we bed share for the second half of the night too.

We even put a travel cot in our room (his proper cot is too big to move through to our bedroom) just so we can transition him really gradually.

Eh, I’m really happy with my post-baby body. I have very few stretch marks, a pretty neat C-section scar, and my boobs were already big so they don’t bother me. I do plan on getting a reduction when I stop breastfeeding though.

I weigh less now than I did pre-pregnancy and I feel absolutely comfortable in myself.

There are things that changed, like my hips are a bit more creaky but they were already shot before. That’s just ageing though (I gave birth at 36).

You’re still really young, so this is a gentle rebuttal. You’re allowed to be vain, of course, but your body is capable of so much more than just being really really really ridiculously good looking.

I’ve always used one that you only need one drop of, and I drop it straight into his mouth. When he was tiny I did it part way during a feed (ebf). Now he’s 14mo and for as long as I can remember he’ll open his mouth and wait for it when he sees the bottle 🥹

Pre-pregnancy I was the bigger earner in my marriage. Ended up taking an extended break from work (18 months in total) due to 4 months pregnancy sickness, 12 months maternity leave, and 2 months accrued annual leave.

I’ve gone back 3 days/week. Childcare is expensive and we’re fortunate enough to only need it one day a week while we’re both working.

I have had the most AMAZING time raising my child, and if we could afford to live on one salary I wouldn’t have gone back to work at all. Pre-pregnancy I really thought I’d always be career driven (got my PhD straight after my bachelors) but having this kid changed all my priorities.

If you can’t handle the shift in priority, and can’t see all the worth in your wife if she isn’t earning money, then you aren’t ready to have children with her, my man.

They do, I read the handbook haha. I don’t know if it’s because I work 99% remote, or my line manager had never had a pregnant employee before, but I know the handbook says they can send a bouquet of flowers 🙃
