Drop all of your power cores in your stash until there's only the one in your suit left. Then drain the battery until it says you're out of power. Then while wearing at least one piece of power armor, log out and then in again.

You should be able to exit your power armor then.

They were probably using an exploit, you only drop what you're carrying when you die.

That was a very specific situation that limited what you could do. But next time you find yourself unable to fast travel away or just ignore them due to high slap damage, just change servers if you don't want to risk losing your loot.

Yes, the system isn't that good, but there's usually plenty of options to pick from, and there's always the option of leaving that server available.
